Izuku after a thorough trial had managed to be accepted by Sir Nighteye and officially become an intern to his agency. Many might have called Sir Nighteye strict, but Kumagawa had the exact opposite opinion.
After all, the pro hero was far from what he considered strict. Still, his sensibilities were twisted as hell, so perhaps his opinion might be taken with a grain of salt.
After all, the school he felt that he fit in was very different in principles. Hakoniwa would break a lot of those heroes to be on their first day.
Kumagawa felt a bump on his arm and he saw (Y/N)'s pretty face, her red eyes looking at him and then at Sir Nighteye. Ah, it seems he finally got to the point, so there wasn't a reason for Kumagawa to tune things out anymore.
The fact that it was a conversation between Sir Nighteye and Izuku made him immediatly tune it out. Not because he disliked any of them, but because they were both just too overhyped about All Might.
Izuku:Surveilance?
Bubble Girl:The Nighteye agency is currently investigating a case.
Sir Nighteye:A small designated villain group called The Eight Percepts of Death.
Sir Nighteye handed them a few photos and informations that they gathered. However, he was concerned about one in particular.
Sir Nighteye:The leader, a member by the name of Chisaki, had shown unusual movements as of late.
Izuku:A yakuza member...But those type of people are pretty docile today, aren't they?
Bubble Girl:Well, the rise of heroes did kind of destroy their bussiness...But this Chisaki individual is gathering them back together. And recently he made contact with the League of Villains, although we're unaware of what transpired.
Izuku:The League...
(Y/N):An alliance? That'd be a surprise if you ask me.
Sir Nighteye:Hm? What do you mean, (L/N)?
(Y/N):Well, if I was to say, this guy and Shigaraki Tomura...I don't see them getting along.
Kumagawa:[Yeah, you could say they're polar opposites. It'd be more likely for them to try to kill each other. You're really sharp for already figuring that out, (Y/N)-chan.]
(Y/N):Call it something I gained from spending so much time around you.
Kumagawa:[Haha, even though people would most often want to get rid of me as soon as possible.]
Sir Nighteye:Ahem! Thank you for your observation, we'll have to keep that in mind. For this patrol we'll spil into teams of two. Me and Bubble Girl, Mirio and Midoriya, Kumagawa and (L/N). Don't forget that although we're looking into The Eight Percepts of Death, we have not yet any solid evidence and thus they can't be treated as a criminal organization. If you encounter one of them, you can't use agression against them.
After his instructions they split up, each going in a different direction. If it's about a covert mission like this, Sir Nighteye think Kumagawa and (Y/N) might be the most suited.
Him and Bubble Girl were very well recognized around those parts, while Izuku's and Mirio's hero costumes were way too flashy. Kumagawa and (Y/N)'s costumes wereucg less incospicious, Kumagawa wearing a fancy gakuhan and (Y/N) looking like a normal school girl with a crown which can be chalked up to cosplay, coupled with (Y/N)'s aloof personality and Kumagawa's talent for acting made them perfect for such a thing.
(Y/N):Hey, wanna go for ice cream?
Kumagawa:[That does sound like an good idea!]
However, Sir Nighteye forgot to consider one thing. While they were perfect for the job, neither of them had that much of a motivation to be heroes to begin with.
