Wishing To Be A Little Child
Wish I was a little child
Wish I was a little child
Free from incessant worries of the future
Unintentionally ignorant of the situation of the world
Oblivious to the sufferings of their guardians.
Daily anticipating on what goodies to be bought home.Living like a little child
Sleeping and eating whenever unlike in the life of adults.
At times when to sleep, they can't cause, something has to be done.
Escapes punishments, do they even make mistakes? Though intentionally, it's pointed out as innocent mistake.Notwithstanding, If I have to go back to their mentality and innocence.
If it was to become a matter of choice or part of magic.
Of course, it would be a bliss
To take a break from my restlessness.
Nevertheless, I would choose otherwise; to remain as I am (the same)
Choosing the former will be starting all over again
As I have gain insights and experiences about the world I am living in.
While the child has learnt little or nothing about the world.The child has to grow and gain experience,
The future more unpredictable.
But I, who has found my dreams, goals, what I wish to be, and working towards it, would have to return back to the starting point, If I chose the former;
Enjoying the cuddles and kisses.Knowing that I would still go through what I had experienced before,
Better, my wish not to come true.
Enduring as I can for every beginning has an end.However, being an adult has its uses,
Doing what I know I want, that's freedom,
Understanding, there's sufferings and pain out there,
Making do, with what my guardians has to offer.
But, innocency and naivety dominates the child's intelligent little mind.
Whining and fussing over demands not being met
Cause that's all they could do.
Unable to exercise the act of expression fully,
Unaware of the danger around.
Not so easy to decieve, easy to coax
Smiles and cries for everyone;
Happiness and sadness all to the world.
