Deep Thoughts

It all went by so fast.

The casting, the costume fitting, the plane flight,

Now, I was in Toronto.

Everything was different than what I was used to.

I hauled my luggage out of the airport, and into the snowy air.

Frost creeped up my fingertips, as I shivered from the clean, cool breeze.

A black SUV pulled up with a screech.

I pulled up the slipping straps of my backpack, and climbed into the car, which was much warmer than outside of it.

The radio clicked on and peaceful music blared out of it.

Only the steady sound of my breath kept me sane.

I gazed out the window, remembering when I had a few months earlier.

Many things had changed.

My hair, which was now longer and darker.

My eyes, which now sincere and serious instead of the childish gleam that it used to have.

My life.

Three months ago, I barely had anything.

I was lonely.

The only thing I had was acting, and I didn't really have much of that until I auditioned for this show.

I didn't know the truth.

Any of it.

And I hadn't really lived until recently.

My thoughts returned to their normal state, and I once again gazed out that window, remembering the old me.
