A knock on the door interrupts my studying. I had a big test in Criminal Law tomorrow, and I was already so behind. Maya was at Kol's, and I wasn't speaking to Leo at the moment. I had complete peace and quiet. Who's disrupting me right now?

I rise from my desk and open the door. Leo stands there with a bouquet of tulips (my favorite flower), a chocolate heart, and a bag of Wingstop. He speaks before I do. "I know what I did was wrong. I shouldn't have kept tutoring Melody even after she expressed her sexual interest in me."

I analyze the contexts in his hand. I took the flowers and the food. "Thank you. You can go now."

I close the door halfway before he stops it. He leans forward and kisses my cheek. "Please forgive me. I miss you, angel. I...love you."

My eyes went wide as a hot blush crowded my cheeks. "You love me?" He nods. "I love you, too."

I throw my arms around him and kiss him deeply on the lips.

There have been many times in my life when I desperately wanted the world to swallow me whole.

When I walked in on my parents having sex. When my parents caught me doing weed in the backyard. When I found out my high school boyfriend had been cheating on me with his cousin. (Long story)

And now....

When my past love and the father of my child finds out that I've hidden his daughter from him for the past six years.

He stares at me hard. This was our breaking point. There would be no coming back from this. "Y-Yes...that's your daughter. Kat."

I watched his eyes lose all soul and emotion and his body goes rigid. A tear falls down his face as he turns away from me. I reach forward. "Le-"

He yanks away from me and walks a couple of steps forward. He breathes in and out. "I can't fucking believe it."

"Leo-"

"Six years, Angela! Six goddamn years you kept my daughter from me. Six years you lied to me," he yells. He was yelling, but he was also crying.

Years of betrayal and heartbreak have hit him like a mac truck, and I have no choice but to sit there and watch the man I hurt.

He crouches down to the concrete and covers his eyes. I could hear him mutter and cry.

"I loved you, Angel," Leo cried. I could hear the voice cracks in his voice. I hurt him. I broke him. I made him into a stone-cold wall with ice around his heart.
