*Continuation of Chapter 10*
STILL Day Two of Hell
-Ezra POV-
Hera and I sat on the bed hugging each other. I heard her sniffle before releasing.
"Ezra. I need to tell you something," she said.
"Okay", I said as I scooted a little bit away from her.
Hera took a deep breath before-
"Ezra? Hera?" Kanan shouted.
"In here", Hera shouted back. She looked back at me. "It's good that they are back. They need to be here to hear this," she said standing up.
I was still on the bed looking down. That meeting I had with 'her' didn't feel right. It felt like she let me go easy. I felt so uneasy about this. She was coming back, I knew that for sure. I sighed.
This was going to be a long night.
-3rd POV-
Kanan, Sabine, Zeb, and Chopper came into the room. Hera was near the medicine cabinets bandaging her bruises. Ezra sat and plastered a smile on his face as fake the love Mary had for her mother. Before Kanan could call him out on it, Hera spoke up.
-Ezra POV-
"There is something I need to tell you all", Hera started. She wrung her hands and her eyes darted from me to the rest of the crew. I've never seen Hera so upset that it changed her demeanor.
What did she just go through?
"I know more about the person who is terrorizing Ezra", she simply stated as her eyes darted to the floor.
"How?" Sabine asked. "She said 'a dead man tells no tales.' How could you know more about her without letting her talk to you?"
"She didn't have to tell me. She showed me", and with that, Hera told us of the four doors.
I watched the crew's reaction to all of the doors, but what made me sick was the door of the shack. Even at her young age, Mary (her name tasted vile and reminded me of sour death) killed her own baby brother. She deserved the man in white to torture her. But then, fear spoke up in my mind: If she could be so heartless to do this to an innocent, then what would she do to me?
NO! I would not let her take me so easily. I will fight her until my last dying breath if I had to. She will not take me.
Hera finished her narrative and everyone looked at me. I stared back with no sign of fear.
"She will not take me so easily", I said with confidence as bright as a light saber's glow.
"And we will not let that happen", Hera said with a smile as she patted my back.
Kanan stood up and walked over to me. "Ezra, these past couple of days has been hard on you," Kanan said as he knelt to my side. "You need to be the strongest one of us. Mary is going to be coming for you not only physically but mentally. We will always be behind you", he gestured to the crew. "But you must hold your ground and focus or she will gain an advantage".
I looked at Kanan with intensity. "I will not let her win. It was alright to mess with me but she brought you all into this and made Hera see things I couldn't believe. She has overstayed her welcome", I said turning back towards the wall. "It is time for her to leave".
