"I can't believe you pulled that prank off." An unfamiliar voice rang in Katia's ear as she and Clint walked across the room. "Stark never gets pranked by anybody."

"That's because you lot all rely on him for food and housing, I have nothing to fear." She replied, before sticking out a hand in the general direction of the voice and introducing herself. "I'm Katia Torres Castro by the way."

"Oh, so you're the one Stark and Barton here are always going on about." The voice replied, tone innocent though Katia was fairly sure he was more of a troublemaker than he was indicating. A warm hand made its way into her own and she shook it enthusiastically. "I'm Sam Wilson."

"Nice to meet you, Sam." She gave him a broad grin before turning back towards Clint and smiling even wider. "So, you talk about me?"

Her mischievous look was enough to make Clint groan, speaking to Sam. "I hope you know the monster you've created by saying that."

"Oh, I'm well aware." Sam was no longer feigning innocence, his voice filled with laughter. "But I'm afraid that's your problem not mine."

"You know, I've decided I rather like you." Katia smirked. "You sound like trouble."

"Why thank you very much, it is an honour to be told such a thing by a master of the craft such as yourself."

"That is not a compliment." Clint's protesting voice rang out and Katia just patted him on the arm consolingly.

"Oh, hush Clinton. You can't say much." Clint's soft mutter of complaint fell on deaf ears as Katia's attention returned to Sam. "Tell me, what exactly is it that you do?"

"I'm the Falcon." Sam told her, sounding rather smug of this claim, as well as that Katia had just shot down Clinton.

"Ah, I see." Katia said, seeing her opportunity and deciding to take it. "You're the one who got beaten by that man the size of an ant."

Clinton gave an uproarious laugh and Katia could almost hear Sam's pout as she grinned. She was certain that he would soon learn she was happy to make fun of just about anyone, so long as she thought they wouldn't take it personally, and from what she had heard about the people in the compound, Sam wasn't about to take offense and hold a grudge because of her comment.

"Oh, she got you." Clint managed to splutter out through his laughter. "She got you good."

"In my defence, he's a lot stronger than he looks." Sam complained, pout definitely audible now.

"Speaking of Scott," Pepper spoke, interrupting before Sam could offer anything else to make himself sound better. "Where is he at the moment?"

"I think he's at home." A new voice entered Katia's hearing and she turned to face the man. "Said something about wanting to check up on Cassie, and I haven't seen him in a couple of days."

"Alright, but if someone could make sure he is here next week for his monthly check-in that would be great." Pepper continued. "I don't really want to have to explain to any government officials that he is still using his suit to visit his family. Not when it is rather illegal."

"Shame," Katia muttered. "I had rather hoped to meet everyone."

"I suppose you'll just have to come back next week." Clinton joked and Katia glanced up at him.

"Speaking of coming back, I made a decision on the farm." She whispered under her breath, knowing that the advanced hearing Clinton gained from his hearing aids would allow him to hear her without most people in the room being able to understand what she was saying. "I can't wait to see Laura and the kids again."
