With the bag in his hand, Jungkook kept looking for the love of his life. It had been days since Tae was avoiding Jungkook.

Yes, he spoke about keeping a distance but Tae completely ghosted him especially when his lawyer visited him and told him that his hearing date was delayed even more.

That put Tae in a sorrowful slumber. He just kept to himself not even talking to Jimin.

To be honest, Jungkook was now losing his patience.

Waving his hand at Jimin, Jungkook asked him to call Tae who was sitting with Jackson and talking to him.

Turning around Tae saw Jungkook in his casual clothes. He wasn't used to seeing Jungkook like that. It brought a smile to his face and he walked out of the canteen leaving his food half eaten.

"Wow! You look so good," Tae eyed Jungkook from top to bottom, "Any special occasion?"

Jungkook nodded his head, "I am going home. Mother has called me urgently."

Oh!

Licking his lip, Tae looked down. He felt already empty and hollow thinking Jungkook won't be here for him.

But he had to remind himself that it was he who was avoiding Jungkook like crazy. And he had a family outside. His father - his mother.

Oh, his mother.

Mrs. Jeon's face flashed in front of Tae's eyes and he could still hear that slap. That earth-shattering slap hit Jungkook when Mrs. Jeon realized what Jungkook had done to Tae that evening.

'How could you Kook? Is this what I taught you?'

'Next thing I know you will kill someone.'

'I am so disappointed with you Kook.'

' Are a rapist - a rapist Jungkook?'

Those words still sent shivers down Tae's body.

"Hyungie?" Jungkook clicked his fingers in front of Tae and brought him out of the trance, "You okay? What's wrong?"

Tae smiled sadly and shook his head, "I - I just - nothing."

Holding Tae's hand, Jungkook took him to a corner by the infirmary and spoke, "I wanted to talk to you before leaving. I don't know how long my mother will hold me up in her prison. But - but I need to say this now."

Moving his eyes to the crowd Tae realized no one was paying attention to them. Guess - the prison had become used to their closeness.

"Hyung - I know you said that you need time. And you are absolutely right. I should give you time. The things I have done in the past - I don't deserve you - I don't deserve your forgiveness but here you are. Your heart is too big to forgive me and give me a chance. But since the last few days, I feel that you are distancing from me again. I don't know what I did. In fact, I am trying really hard for you - to change and to keep you happy. All my life hyung - I have loved you and only you. I know I was a mad teenager but I am not anymore. Then why? Why are you running away from me? What did I do now? Please hyungie - my baby hyungie - give us a chance and don't blow this away. I have waited a lot for you - a lot - a lot. I can't even tell you in words. I am really running out of patience now hyung. You are in front of me and yet you are so far. Please - hyung - please - give me a chance to prove myself. I told you I would get you out of here. And when you are out - we can start our new life. Right?"
