(cassie is 7) // tw: throwing up (for anyone with emetophobia)
"Cub are you up?", the curly haired man asked his daughter. It was 2pm on a Sunday, so she really slept in.
"It's the afternoon, how come you've slept so long?", her dad said as he slowly opened the door. She was still fast asleep.
He walked over to her bed where she was sleeping, she looked slightly flushed but Sirius just took it as she was hot from her covers.
"Star?", he shook her gently and moved some hair out of her face. As he was doing this however he caught on that her forehead was really warm, warmer than she should be. He left to get his husband.
"Remus?", he said anxiously. Remus caught on and asked what was wrong
"I think there's something wrong with Cassie, shes still sleeping at this time which she doesn't usually do and her forehead feels really hot", he said panicked. She'd never really been sick before, but the temperature had dropped so she was bound to get sick at some point.
Both men walked upstairs to their daughter's room, Remus slowly walked over and sat on her bed. She stirred, feeling herself sink due to her father sitting on the bed.
She rubbed her eyes and sat up, looking at her dads with her tired eyes. Remus then leaned over and moved some hair out of her face.
"You okay baby?", He said quietly. She shook her head in reply, too tired to even speak to her dads.
"My head hurts and i'm cold", She said quietly, slightly shivering under her covers. Both men shared a concerned look, they knew it was coming but just didn't like the idea of it.
Remus then started running his fingers through the girls hair, trying to soothe her ache, while Sirius left to go get her some medicine.
When the curly haired man returned, he kneeled down next to Cassie, lightly lifting her head up a little bit.
"You need to sit up and take this cub", He said softly, she then shook her head, refusing to take the medicine he had. "Come on Cass you need to, if you don't you'll just feel worse", Remus added, but she still refused and tried to turn her head towards the wall away from the two men.
Just then as she turned her head, she suddenly got a rush of nausea, she got up and ran to the bathroom down the hall, her dads following behind her, she just made it before thr0w1ng up, Remus taking her hair and holding it behind the girl.
Once she was finished, Cassie leaned back against Remus' chest, letting out an exhausted sigh, before starting to cry a little.
"Hey what's wrong?", Sirius asked her worriedly, placing his hand on her arm, rubbing it comfortingly with his thumb.
"I'm sorry, i hate being sick", Cassie said, trying to speak through her quiet sobs. Remus then hugged the girl, kissing the top of her head.
"It's okay star we're here, see that's why you need to take the medicine, so you won't be sick again. Do you wanna try it?", Remus asked, hopefully getting her to take the medicine. Cassie gave a small nod and Sirius went to grab the syringe from the counter, then carefully placing the contents into her mouth.
Cassie then scrunched her face up in disgust,
"Ew it's disgusting", She complained, trying to get rid of the awful taste in her mouth.
"I know cub but hopefully you won't be sick again now. Do you want to try to eat something?" Sirius asked.
The girl shook her head. "I'm tired i just want to sleep", She said quietly, rubbing her eyes. Remus then stood up, helping Cassie up while doing so and the three of them walked back to Remus and Sirius' bedroom.
Cassie lay in between the two men, her head resting against Remus' arm. It didn't take her long to fall asleep in their presence and she didn't thr0w up again.
