Chapter 6: Deadly Gamble.

"They're coming..!" Bernadetta squeaked, holding her bow shakily and aimed at the monsters.

"Don't worry! We got experience!" Junpei reassured her. She did not buy it at all.

"I'll begin searching for the monsters' weaknesses! Please, give me some time..!" Fuuka pleaded, clasping her hands together. So she could detect weaknesses with her magic. That was good.

"We got you covered!" Junpei grinned, flashing a thumbs up.

"If they keep switching their weaknesses, then we need to try and guess." Sylvain mumbled to himself, pointing Yukari's Evoker at his head. The bow user gasped, recognizing her Evoker. She looked at its holst, realizing it was not there.

"Hey, wait a second! Isn't that my-"

"I'll apologize later! SEIROS! Gale Slash!" Sylvain yelled, calling for his Persona. Blue fire circled around him as the woman appeared, charging her sword at the two Shadows. The attack did nothing. Mitsuru and Yukari exchanged looks, both in shock that he could summon a Persona.

"Slash Attacks don't work on them, then." Akihiko analyzed, pointing his Evoker at his head "POLYDEUCES! Mazio!" he yelled, shooting himself. Two lightnings struck down, one for each Shadow. While the female looking one with the staff was unaffected by it, the male looking one with the sword was hit by it, falling to his knees and supporting itself with his sword. It meant that he got hit with a critical

"Lightning works!" Bernadetta gasped, aiming her bow.

"Could that mean that the one with the sword is only affected by magic attacks?" Sylvain asked.

"We can't make that guess just yet." Akihiko shook his head, summoning Polydeuces again and firing a Zio on the male one to lower its health. Sylvain bit his tongue watching as Bernadetta fired an arrow towards the Shadow with a staff. It seemed to work, as the Shadow got knocked down. She did it again, lowering its health more.

"Piercing physical attacks on the other one, then." Makoto mumbled "Hey, ginger, purple. Do you want to join in the All Out Attack?" he asked, getting ready. Sylvain grinned.

"Count me in." he told him. Bernadetta, on the other hand, shook her head.

 "N-No way! Those things are scary! I don't want to go anywhere near them!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling. The others nodded, understanding her fear.

"Let's give them hell!" Akihiko called, the four running in and doing as much damage as they could. Once they did, they got back to gain distance incase the Shadows wanted to attack them when they got up.

"It's done! I can start the analysis at any time! Please, tell me when to activate it!" Fuuka called, looking more ready than either of the nobles could ever be. Makoto nodded, deciding to save it for later. It would be wise to not use it right now. However, before they could say anything, the two Shadows spun their weapons, their aura shifting to a different one.

"What did they just do??" the redhead asked, confused.

"Hey, that's not good! They're aura shifted!" Fuuka called.

"Did they change their weaknesses!?" Bernadetta asked, lowering her bow with a worried face.

"They must have! No wonder we could not land hits on them." Mitsuru frowned.

"Yamagishi-san, start the analysis!" Makoto called, looking at the girl. She nodded, taking a deep breath and closed her eyes.

"I got it! The monster with the staff is now weak to punches and the monster with the sword is weak to ice!" she informed.
