‘You fucked it up again….’

As I paced in restless circles, a low growl rumbled in my throat. Each step was a silent plea for clarity, a search for the elusive solution. My fingers threaded through my hair, tugging slightly in frustration, as I struggled to piece together the scattered puzzle of my thoughts, yearning for that moment of revelation.

I forced myself to take a deep, steadying breath through my nose, trying to quell the rising tide of disbelief and frustration.'This is not happening, this can't be happening,' I muttered under my breath, as I struggled (and failed) to try and re-ground myself again.

'Pfft! Do you honestly think playing nice with that insufferable 'goody-two-shoes' was ever going to be effective? You're nothing but a body-snatcher!' Her voice dripped with a mockingly sweet sneer, and I could almost see the smirk on her face. I blinked hard, clenching my teeth in an effort to maintain restraint. In the twenty years of my life — well, my former life — I never had a younger sister. But this -- this biting banter and infuriating taunt, must be the closest thing to what having one feels like.

[Name] Politon, the girl who not only shares my name but also bears an uncanny resemblance to me, albeit four years younger. This delightful individual took her pranks to new heights, modifying Rubie’s pupper card that made it appear as if Rubie had received a C+ in history, which led to my uncharacteristic ‘outburst’. But of all the people to be transmigrated into a story — and this story, of all possibilities — she's undoubtedly the least suitable candidate.

Or perhaps she wouldn't be so problematic if we didn't share the same body in such inconvenient ways. Her presence consistently hinders my efforts to set things right.

With a face-palm, I recalled the grim fate of [Name] Politon in this narrative: she meets her end at the hands of the tragic villain, Im Hyunwoo, as a consequence of her role in his torment.

Moreover, she inadvertently assists Jace in the murder of his future wife, Rina.

However, that's not even the most distressing part. [Name] Politon's character is fated to die simply because she is written as a 'follower' of Ashley and Jace, the beloved adopted parents of the protagonist, Ren. Her demise becomes inevitable when they are exposed for their role in bullying the antagonist.

Meanwhile, Rubie plays a vital role too; she marries her childhood sweetheart, Malachi, and together they bring Ernesto into the world — who grows up to be Ren's best friend. The interwoven destinies of these characters create a complex tapestry in this story.

So it was crucial for me to just hide under a rock, it was the best thing I could do.

However…I have to deal with the minor antagonist herself, in the same body, communicating telepathically. ‘I don't think you understand why this is an issue, just apologize! You're so freaking privileged, that it won't matter if you get all Fs in your class, rhetorically, your school is going to find a way to make a C at least!'

From Rubie’s perspective, as understood, the grief over her half-sister's passing was compounded by the strain of visiting the Politon residence.

Mr. Politon, still harboring resentment towards his ex-wife for her affair with the renowned producer Roody Remal — an affair that resulted in Rubie's birth — treated her with cold detachment. While he wasn’t overly harsh, his blatant favoritism towards Polli ([name]) was unmistakable. Rubie's attempts to foster a connection were further hampered by Polli's apparent hostility. Despite knowing Polli's malicious nature, Rubie persisted in her efforts to bridge the gap with her sister, a testament to her enduring hope for familial bonds.

‘Does it matter!?’ instead she taught back just as swiftly, ‘Why do I have to explain myself to a body snatcher like you!? It's annoying hearing every time about how she ‘flourishes’ every semester like some obsessed freak when she comes here!’

‘it's like she does this on purpose….’ I heard her mutter under her breath before speaking up, ‘And not only am I stuck with a body snatcher, but another brainwashed, Moron! If that's the case, why didn't you leech onto her body instead!? That's much more amusing!’

‘For the LAST time.’ the rolled my eyes, sighing in exasperation, ‘I am NOT a body snatcher, I'm only here because of some weird interdimensional incident, and according to the psychic-’

‘You mean the creepy witch who didn't say anything helpful about getting us separated, just that we will fuse into one entity!? How is that fair!’

I took another deep breath. As far as I recall, days after this incident, you bumped into a very old psychic called Yasmin, who could tell this body had two souls.

Psychics are actually the real deal in this world, and they are a rare kind who have the power of psychic sight and purification, this is especially helpful against vampires, and if they're also a vampire hunter, they can rival even a pureblood vampire.

Yasmin had claimed since we both had the same near death accident at the same time, but since my body died, it had a collision with Polli, causing this predicament.

But there was no turning back, our souls would eventually fuse anyways, but she said…

“You both can't be enemies, you must be able to work together, teamwork.”

“Yeah right….” I thought to myself, that's if we ever get out of this situation alive.

If she can't even properly reconcile with Rubie, then how the hell will she do so with Hyunwoo, the main person who she'll— we'll need to prevent from decimating everything in sight?
