The next morning Wendy made a weird discovery. At first she thought she still was sleepy and that her eyes just tried to trick her, but then she realised that both shadows couldn't belong to her.

Peter was gone but his silly shadow had stayed behind, maybe his shadow had a bigger heart because it refused to leave. And when Wendy stared at it she got the feeling that it was staring back.

She wasn't sure about if she should get scared or not, magic was something she always wished for but looking directly at it she couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. At last she decided that she couldn't walk around with an extra shadow behind her and as politely as possible asked if she could put it away in a drawer so it wouldn't scare anyone while she was in school. The shadow wasn't fond of the idea but agreed to do it as long as she promised to let him out when she got home.

The experience was somewhat exhausting and when she walked out to the bathroom she hit her head in the doorway "Argh dammit" Wendy said and gave the door a dirty look and stick out her tongue childly at it. Just then Michael walked out to see his angry sister, "Why are you crying Wendy" the little boy looked at his sister with great concern before walking up to her and wrap his little arms around her legs in a hug. "Oh Michael I'm not crying because I'm sad, I'm just a little hurt" then she bent down to Michaels level before whispering, "A sneaky pirate jumped out behind the door and tried to steal my toothbrush" She smiled at her brother before dramatically saying "But of course I couldn't let him get away with it and that's when he hit my head" she smiled at her brother who sat wide eyed on the floor "It'll make great battle scars" she added before ruffling his hair and getting up on her feets. "Now I'm going to brush my teeth with my new claimed toothbrush and you" Wendy turned to Michael and gave him a kiss on the forehead "needs to get ready for school". Then the little boy did a small bow and leaved the giggling Wendy.

After that she almost forgot about her morning adventure with the shadow and the day just went past in a blur, only actually exiting thing that happened was when a kid accidentally tripped and spilled his orange juice over the algebra teacher earning himself two hours detentions.

On her way home Wendy was in a splendid mood, the sun was shining brightly and she hummed on a song that been stuck in her head for a while. As usual though she wasn't alone, someone had come to claim his shadow and was watching Wendy as she made her way down the street. Peter hadn't decided on how to deal with the situation but when he saw her looking so carefree walking in the sun he decided that he probably just should ask her. Peter wasn't very clever and couldn't see the worst kinds of scenarios, therefor he relied on that the pretty and nice girl would understand and give it back, (With other words he didn't know that shadow aren't supposed to have a life of there own). So he just sat on the roof with his feet dangling beneath him thinking about nothing in particular with his usual grin plastered on the gorgeous face of his with both of his dimples showing.

"Wendy!" When she heard her name being yelled she stopped and turn to see her neighbour Baelfire running up to her, she smiled at him and he continued without catching his breath "Are you going home, my lady?" He said with a smirk, "oh yes I am sir, would you like to accompany me on this horrible journey of 50 meters?" Wendy answer with a smile acting as if she actually wouldn't make it home with out him. She looped her arm in his and they walked the last part up to her house, which Peter still sat on the roof of. When Peter heard voices come close he adjusted his eyes from the cloud free sky and was surprised too see Wendy standing together with a boy by her fence. What surprised him even more was how close each other they were.
There was a lot of things Peter didn't knew about and words that didn't mean anything to him. Hugs was one of them, so when he looked at Wendy in this boys embrace he had no idea why they would do like that - but his stomach clenched together and he got jealous of this boy who came from nowhere and obviously meant something too Wendy. He kept on staring daggers on Baefire until the boy left, and after that he couldn't even make himself knock on the window. So he just stayed on the roof until the night came and he finally decided that he couldn't sit there forever and that he needed to go home to Neverland.

-------------------------------------------------Okay so I said this story wouldn't have anything to do with OUAT but I felt like it was a better idea to use Baefire than to take in a completely new character, so y'all just have too deal with it x)
But I probably won't do that again or at least not too often since I prefer the original story.
