This is a Stony

"Cap, the rows are getting closer, you might want to clear them off," Natasha speaks through her ear-piece.

Steve nodded, turning sharply and running towards the enemies, dodging the explosive encounter as he jumps from car to car, doing a flip in the air.

"Stark, chase the robot Sharpienes into the district, hold them there or dispose of them," Steve ordered.

"Right," Tony agreed, changing directions and flying to the North.

Steve rushed through the forest, chasing the God-for-saken unholy creatures that reeked havoc and chaos. Steve gripped hard onto his shield, slinging it, making it slice through the mechanical figure before snatching it back into his hands.

Rogers ran right into the trap without even knowing it, taking each blow and fist and kick from each creature whilst knocking them dead to the ground with his strength, skills, brain and shield.

He slided under a tree trunk as a skeleton hand ripped into him, removing the Captain America mask.

Steve tripped as he tried to stand up because the creatures screeched and slashed at the frail of his body, making his feet slip and turn. Steve's body turned and his foot slipped, making him fall over the cliff and into the water.

Steve shut his eyes tight as the lack of oxygen got to his body. He could swim, he knew exactly how to swim. Steve shook his head quickly before swiping his arms out in the water and swimming to the surface. His head flung back when it finally reached the top, making him breathe in harshly.

But he was at the bottom of the cliff, a very tall cliff. And then it suddenly hit him. He was cold. Very cold. The water............ it was freezing. So cold that Steve found himself shivering violently, making his arms stiff, and suddenly he wasn't floating anymore.

Steve hasn't been this cold since..........he swallowed hard, but his throat was stiff and sore, making Steve gag in his mouth. His body couldn't tale the cold, and the suit wasn't exactly a heater. His skin grew white, and hints of blue formed around Steve's knuckles. He hasn't been this cold since the ice. Since the long ago seventy years back. Since he got stuck in the ice for seventy years. It was so cold, so alone.

Steve never went on the Ice Rink with the rest of the Avengers, he never had ice in his drinks even though he was being quite ridiculous on that one but still, he hated anything cold or remotely related to ice in any way for obvious reasons.

He had friends before the ice, he had Bucky, the only friend he's ever had. Then there was Howard and the guys who helped him be who he was now. But then there was Peggy. His first crush and his first date. But he never did learn how to dance.

And now look, he got cold, very cold, he was alone for seventy years. And then he was in the 21st century, the century with billboards, electricity, automatic doors, bubble wrap and new phrases and metaphors and games that he didn't understand. And he was alone again, because Bucky and Peggy were gone, leaving him to suffer alone.

And now that he lives in Stark Tower with great friends and a good hard working team.

He doesn't want to lose them like he did with Peggy and Bucky. He lost them because of the ice. And now the water, the freezing cold, the fact that he was alone once again triggered the fear that created the nightmares.

And suddenly he was sinking. Sinking metaphorically and literally.

And then now that his body was giving in to the water, he was sinking down, and his body was falling silently into the water. His body went on lockdown, muscles finally relaxing and bones that were tense and flailing laid limp and still.
