THE STUDIO WAS quieter than usual. Her band had the day off, Abby wasn't answering her phone, and her manager wasn't answering either. She was alone for the day. If she were being honest, she wasn't even sure why she was at the studio. She's had the worst writer's block for the past couple of weeks. All she could assume was that it was caused by all the built-up stress of trying to finish her album and the publicity relationship. Going into this, she expected it to be somewhat easy, but it affected her creative flow.

The second something started to affect her creative flow, it was time to step back and reevaluate.

That's what she's done for the past hour. Her studio time was swiftly running out, but she couldn't work under these conditions. She laid back on the couch, staring at the ceiling, and let out a breath. Her notebook full of songs rested on her stomach. She had stared at the blank page, trying to get the gears turning, but she ultimately failed. Writing songs used to come easily to her, but now, it felt like a chore. This line of work always felt so fun and not like a job, now, she felt like she was forced to sit behind a desk and sort through paperwork all day, patiently waiting for the day to be over.

She always loved her job, but moments like this made her slightly hate it. She began to wonder if she had chosen the right line of work.

It was a poor way of thinking, but she couldn't help it.

Since this whole fake relationship started, she's been having more problems with her songwriting. If she knew this would be a part of the job, she probably wouldn't have spent so long chasing that dream. She probably would have gone on to be a poet or something, maybe even an author.

Staying there any longer would have been much harder for her, so she stood up from the couch and started to collect her things. Maybe a change of scenery would help her get to where she needs to be. She had considered doing what other celebrities do and going on a spontaneous trip to some island, but for now, she'll stick to local areas. Once she had collected all her things, she made her way to the door and opened it to see the one person she didn't expect to see today. There stood Ellie, looking like she was getting ready to knock on the door. She saw as Y/n opened the door and quickly lowered her arm, clearing her throat as she did so. "What are you doing here, jackass?" Y/n asked her curiously.

"For starters, stop calling me that. Second of all, your manager texted me to take you out, so, lets go." Ellie responded in the most annoyed tone she could mutter.

Just like Y/n, she hated this idea. She probably even hated it more. "Why would I want to go out with someone that's acting like that?" Y/n questioned. This may have been a part of their deal, but she was at least going to get some respect. "Unless you're going to be respectful, I'm not going anywhere with you." She spoke up, making sure to get her point across. She was already having a bad day, someone like Ellie wasn't going to make it worse if she could help it.

"You know I will be. Now, can we go?" Ellie asked and held out her hand for her to hold.

Y/n let out an annoyed sigh before grabbing Ellie's hand and leaving the studio with her. She planned to be out for an hour at the most, she had to get some work done, even if she had to force words on the paper. It wouldn't be easy, but she had to find some way to work past this.

All the annoyance might be exactly what she needs.

For the last hour and a half, Y/n sat in the coffee shop, staring at the blank page once again. She tried everything to get some type of idea, but nothing was working. This was the worst writer's block she's ever had. It certainly didn't help that her whole schedule was out of wack. The slightest change in her schedule or environment that wasn't decided on by her tended to affect her badly.
