As the bell rang, Raya Mendez made her way out the school doors. She was clad in a comfy pair of identically gray sweatpants and a sweater.

Ahhh... what a gentle breeze. It's such a beautiful day!

The cloudiness in the sky was just right and the bus wouldn't be late today. Bopping her head to her preferred playlist, she sat herself on a familiar bench to await the school bus' arrival. To pass the time, she pulled out her phone and searched for a new web novel to binge.

After browsing for a minute, a certain web novel's summary caught her attention and after reading the first few chapters she found it a little bland but was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe it will get better after a few chapters. She thought to herself before immediately skipping over to the middle section.

After reading the ending, she sighed in dissatisfaction. Looks like this one heads in the same direction as rest. They tossed logic and flow out for more interactions and drama between the main leads, which is important but like... this is just abuse!

She left a comment on how the novel disappointed her and was surprised to get a reply from the author immediately.

「If you're so smart then how about you rewrite it? If you manage to do better, I'll even grant you a wish, any wish.」

Eyeing the message suspiciously, she thought to herself out loud, "Hah?" She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and laughed mockingly. "What's this about granting wishes all of a sudden, are you supposed to be some kind of gene?"

With a look of boredom, she typed out her reply without missing a key.

「No thanks. This story was never really my cup of tea anyways. As for that ultimate wish of mine, I don't have one. It simply does not exist. Sorry for not taking you up on your offer. I know! Have you perhaps ever thought about just getting better at writing? Isn't it your job or something?」

'No isekai this, no regression that, our girl was just born a baddie who don't need a man!' They said, well that was just as big of a lie as their all natural beauty under those twelve layers of makeup. The main character had to rely on another powerful man just to avoid her arranged marriage. Did they post this under the wrong novel, is this a paid promotion? I seriously doubt if they read the actual thing. Whatever~

*yaaaaawn* Satisfied with her response, the girl no longer intended to continue this meaningless exchange. Just as she was about to exit the tab, she got a notification; yet another response from the author.

What now? With a sigh, the girl clicked on it. The author's words were probably just said as a joke, and whether the person themself was truly responsible for the proceeding events, they were without a doubt the main cause.

「Is that so? Everyone has a wish deep down inside. So have a change of heart! I insist!」

The moment she finished reading the last word, she immediately felt it. Huh? Why am I so dizzy all of a sudden? My vision's getting all fuzzy like the time I fainted from anemia. Uh-oh, this can't be good.

And just like that, her entire world spiraled into black.

...

"Mhmm..." A young girl was softly snoring away under several layers of blankets on a princess sized bed. Big warm brown eyes opened to an unfamiliar ceiling. It's warm~ mhm~

The girl showed no surprise or concern for the discrepancy and closed her eyes once more. After a half hour passed by in silence, the girl opened her big eyes once more.

She sat herself up and scanned the room. She was in a large bedroom with a simple light yellow flower pattern wallpaper and a solid wooden flooring. It had a large antique wardrobe, some sort of heating device, an antique dresser covered in several stuffed toys, a wooden desk and a wooden chair.

Both the door on the wall to the left of the bed and the door directly facing the bed were closed. Their polished finish differed much from her own bedroom door which was painted with pure white layers.

Despite the obvious change in scenery, she simply tilted her head, unfazed, and shrugged. Wondering what time it was, her eyes traced the rays of light to its main source, a window on the wall to the right of the bed and took note of the gray skies outside.

Looks like it's still daytime. Guess I love to sleep in even in my dreams. That's right, this girl has simply concluded that this was another one of her odd dreams which was not an uncommon occurrence for her.

Sliding out of the covers, she stood up and stretched her body. I feel so light and energized! It must be because I'm in a dream!

"Unng~ stretch~ Uwahh!" If only I could feel this much refreshed after waking up for school. The girl thought to herself.

*knock knock knock* It came from behind the door on the left.

"Milady, it's Rhonda. Are you awake?"

"You can come in." The small girl said without hesitation.

*click* The door opened and a young woman in her early twenties dressed in servant's clothing walked through the threshold. She had shoulder length dirty blond hair tied back in a ponytail and hazel eyes that showed concern.

"How are you feeling my lady? Is your fever finally gone?" The maid servant placed the tray of food she was holding on the bed and bent down. Gently, she placed her hand on the girl's forehead to check her temperature.

"Mhm! All better." The girl said cheerfully.

With a sigh of relief, the maid straightened back up.

"I've brought a light breakfast to help the young mistress recover her energy. Please eat and feel free to rest more to recuperate your strength. Your embroidery and dance lessons have already been canceled for the rest of the month. If you need anything I will be ready to answer your call."

"Alright. Thanks for letting me know. You may go now." The girl smiled.

Without another word, the maid servant bowed and left the room.

I don't feel like doing anything exciting even in a dream.

The girl got back into bed and pulled covers along with the tray of breakfast back up. On the tray was a bowl of a familiar looking creamy green soup, a plate with eggs, sausages, and a piece of white bread with butter on the side.

What an appetizing aroma. Thanks for the food!

Picking up the spoon, she took a scoop of the soup, blew the steam away and took a slow sip.

Tastes just like the creamy leek soup made at home. Warm food really is the best. Mmm~ the saltiness is just right.

Since she had slept in for quite some time, the girl was very famished when she awoke. In no time at all, she quickly polished off the rest of the meal down to the last bread crumbs.

Feeling drowsy, the girl placed the tray on her bedside nightstand and rubbing a satisfied stomach, she seamlessly fell into a deep sleep.
