Asher's POV:

The takedown of the magnificent deer-looking boy-swirling emotions, a mix of triumph and victory whirled inside him like a storm. He smiled to his lone self as he watched the dainty creature with the long, luscious eyelashes and elegant antlers, that he finally did catch the rumored deer boy that protected the forest and astride on a magic Elk that seemed to be 7 feet tall.

Though quite torn inside, Asher knew he had a duty to uphold: to his clients, who wanted to test what this deer boy could do, and to the town, which he promised to capture the mysterious deity roaming in the forest, injuring unsuspecting hunters who enter it. He did what he was told: capturing the Deer Boy and bringing him inside the dark chamber to be their temporary haven.

As he watched the green gas being inhaled by the boy, he smirked to himself, flicking his wrist out to the right-hand man. The man was about 6,4 tall, standing rigid, with short brown hair blowing in the slight breeze. "Caleb," Asher barked, "go get the boy, capture the elk.". The man nodded his head but before he could step forward the Elk rose up and turned its head clearly distressed and started to frantically gallop into the forest carrying Asher's prize with him. Annoyed he shouted to Caleb and his guards behind him and soon saw a net fly over his head.

He began to walk slowly towards the forest, clicking his tongue in a bad mood. He waited at the foot, growing impatient, though all was forgotten as soon as he heard the loud thud and stamping of hooves in the soil ground. He quickly began walking through the forest, trying to seem composed, and soon came face to face with the two creatures helplessly lying on the floor.

To Asher, feelings were a luxury he could ill afford. He was the cold-hearted mafia boss whose every move was calculated and driven by ambition and ruthlessness. So when he laid eyes on that deer boy, so delicate with his long, luscious eyelashes and elegant antlers and fluffy tail, he didn't see some being to be cherished-just another pawn in his deadly game of power and control.

The sight of delicate features was not what moved Asher's heart as the Deer Boy fell into his clutches. Rather, he saw an opportunity to make his agenda come one more step closer to fruition, and he used the unique abilities of the Deer Boy for his own gain.

He took the Deer Boy to his remote mansion, a castle of darkness concealed from the probing world. He set him on a vast bed in the dark shadows of the palace, far removed from the stark reality of his life.

As the Deer Boy slept, quite oblivious to the machinations in the world around him, Asher stood over him, detached. He saw the boy only as a tool to be used, something to rid him of questing for dominance and control once and for all.

Yet, as the night had crept on, the moon casting its silvery light through the sleeping figure before him, he couldn't shake off the feel of something stirring within him, at some point in time unfamiliar. Was it regret? Remorse? Or probably both?

His head a tangled mix of emotions, Asher knew one thing for sure: in his world of shadows and lies, he barely had room for sentimentality. Yet, gazing upon the face of the Deer Boy, he couldn't rid himself of the feeling that their fates together were bound by invisible threads.
