To all the parents who ever post their kids sleeping peacefully while they look absolutely rested, Alastor envied them.

The baby was screaming her lungs out as Alastor tried to get her back to sleep. She had originally fell asleep while her father was reading from his mother's cook book.. That wasn't working. He was so late on when his broadcasts normally started.

He tried to read it again, But it didn't work. This girl was hard to control! She pulled on his hair, making it even harder for Alastor to resist the urge to just throw her into the crib and ferberize the child already.

He held the girl to his chest as he tiredly rocked her. He groaned as she kept crying.

"Allison, My dear.. Why won't you sleep? Ughh.." He whined, She sobbed loudly as she grasped at his antlers, "What in the blazes-"

She pulled on them once more and giggles. Babbling as she brang Alastor's face close. Alastor had an idea.

"Ah.. Well. I have a story for you!"

He then went on to tell the story of Bambi, A dear who's mother was killed by hunters and survived. She surprisingly fell asleep to this, Even though her father made sure to make it sound much much more gruesome then it actually was.

Alastor soon had his little girl sleeping soundly. The only problem is that she wouldn't let go of him! Alastor was going to go back to bed, But the girl had the strength of the king of hell!

Alastor grunted softly, His permanent smile still on his face although it was a rather annoyed smile now.

He sat down in his broadcasting chair and stroked his daughter's hair. He found comfort in it and slowly drifted off.. Before his head shot up to feel a pain in his stomach.

"Oh ungracious, Unholy hell!" He screamed when he realized that Allison was playing with a knife and had grazed him. How in hell did she get a knife?!

She was sitting on the desk, While Alastor kneeled down next to the desk, Trying to get the knife without harming himself or the girl.

"Allison.. Put the knife down.."

She threw the knife at Alastor and he dissolved into a black darkness. He noticed that it was still dark outside.

"Good Lord.."

Alastor took the knife from the floor and took Allison in his other arm. They walked to the kitchen, Alastor put the knife away.

Allison patted his face and he smiled tiredly. He needed someone else to deal with this girl while he actually got some sleep!

The thought of telling one of his souls to do it, Or one of his shadows came to mind. Perhaps he could call Rosie..

"It's the witching hour! I cannot call my dear Rosie at a time like this.." Alastor sighed, Sitting down in his arm chair with Allison in his lap.

He was conflicted.

"Who would be up at this hour.. Perhaps I could call Mimzy?" Alastor thought aloud before bursting into laughter, "Oh, Who am I kidding? That woman couldn't tell a baby from a microphone!"

Allison started to pull on her father's hair again, Which she did so often it seemed to be her new favorite activity.

The pair sat in silence for a few more seconds as Alastor thought of who he could Call upon to take care of the small girl. She babbled and nibbled on his fingers with her non existent teeth.

Alastor patted her head.

"How about we get you a snack, Dear?"

They made their way to the kitchen, Alastor looked around for something for Allison to eat. His food wasn't exactly kid friendly.. So, They'd have to make something for the girl to eat.

"Now, Was it children can't eat solid foods until they're a year of age, Or was it.. Children have to eat solid foods before they turn a year of age..?" Alastor muttered, Trying to remember if his mother had told him anything of the sort.

He Shrugged and decided to just make her some sort of cut fruit, Like apples or something.

Alastor got out a knife before he looked around for some sort of fruit. All while Allison sat on the bench with Alastor's hand supporting her.

When the sound of the knife being dropped hit his ears, Alastor's skin jumped from his body. He grabbed her with his tentacles.

"You are.. I cannot fathom what causes you to not stay in one place!" Alastor grumbled, A frustrated smile on his lips.

She giggled.

He abandoned the knife and put her on the couch, Still holding her by his tentacles to make sure she didn't disappear.

Soon, They both passed out on the couch. The unfortunate part was that Alastor was so exhausted he slept in two hours after he'd normally wake up.

Allison, However, Was still asleep while her father got ready for what the day would hold.. Newborns aren't exactly easy. Alastor hated that he now knew that fact from experience.
