Five - A Finding

GODDOOM

Unlike the days before, she had no dream this time. She decided not to use her medication that day, she found them useless since they weren't really needed.

She was going to school today and she had already decided to accept Michelle's proposal to write the story. What disturbed her mostly was the fact that seeing Joel from now on might make her feel uneasy.

The one she called Jack in her dreams had Joel's exact appearance. So she had to deal with that every school day. The dark hair was the same, the cute nose, the bushy eyebrows and his eyes that always seem to reflect light like they were diamonds. She knew Joel was very attractive but she would never admit it. When her classmates used to tease her, she would always say, 'He's not tall enough for me. I like tall guys.' Even though Joel was taller than her, only just a bit. He was about 175 centimeters and she was 169, which was also about Michelle's height.

Michelle was very pretty. The long dark hair, plump pink lips, her nose was just little broad, the right size that fit her face perfectly and her ears were standing. She was so cute, on an 'oh my god' level.

Melody was just as pretty. Her hair had different colors in it. Which she almost changed because Joel made fun of it. "Are you interested in being a flag? Because you really look like one," that was what Joel said the first time she came to class with it. Melody was very pretty and most of the guys would literally die for her. Actually, all of them, Joel was the one that made 'most' the right word to use. It made her wonder about him sometimes, why he was the only one not affected by her magic.

Melody had grey-ish green-ish eyes. They were very beautiful. She was a brunette. Her eyebrows were just the right amount that fit her face, not too bushy and definitely not too little. Her nose was cute, matching her cute face.

Melody and her friend were both almost 18, their birthdays were in the same month but Joel was a year older.

When she got to school, she met Michelle right before they entered the class and this time, Joel was not here. "Thank God your boyfriend's not here," Michelle commented.

"That guy," she scoffed and Michelle laughed.

"Hmm..." Michelle sighed and added, "I see."

"What do you mean by that?" Melody was confused at Michelle's actions.

"I just noticed something but I'll keep you in suspense for now," she replied.

"Hey you can't do that to me, it's not fair," Melody said and faked sobs.

"HA-HA-HA," Michelle mimicked a villainous laughter and they burst out laughing as they sat down in the empty classroom. "It's good no one's here," she added.

"Actually, we're way too early for the class, you know. This is really some nerdy stuff," Melody laughed.

"Yeah true. Maybe we should do something or ?" Michelle suggested. "Yeah let's go to the library, I just remembered something I said I would check today."

"What?" Melody became curious.

"Anyway, before that, have you made your decision yet? About... Goddoom?"

"Oh yeah, you can do it. No problem at all."

"OMG, I get to write you kissing Joel... HA-HA-HA," Michelle said and they burst out in laughter.

"You're crazy!!" Melody commented.

"Alright then, I was going to say we should go to the library. I wanted to check out how books like that are written. About gods and that kinda stuff."

"Oh okay. Yeah sure, we're about 45 minutes early so we could spare some time," Melody agreed.

When they entered the library, the librarian and Melody looked at each other for an unusual time. This was the first time they had met each other.

"Have I seen you somewhere before?" the librarian asked.

"I'm wondering about the same thing," Melody said.

"I see. I don't know, it's like I know you from somewhere but I can't tell where," the librarian added.

"Yes, same here," Melody giggled and the librarian let out a short laughter. Melody found his voice familiar too but she didn't say anything about it.

"But you know something, we have something to do," Melody said while taking glances at Michelle, "...so maybe later."

"Alright sure, please what kind of books are you looking for?" he asked them.

"Old...gods...magic," Michelle let out a few words.

"If I'm solving that puzzle correctly, fantasy, right?" the librarian asked.

"Yeah yeah," Michelle agreed and let out a short laughter. Melody joined in too.

The librarian was handsome, he looked like he was somewhere around his thirties or possibly less. He had a firm, straight jaw. His glasses made him look smart and he was quite tall. He would be about 6 feet or maybe a little more than that. His eyes were hazel green-ish. They were very beautiful and Michelle couldn't seem to stop looking at them. He was a blonde and his voice was charming. He looked muscular in the shirt he wore, just not too much. His eyebrows were bushy but his beard was trimmed nicely. His nose was slender and his ears were standing.

They moved on from there after he showed them where they could find such books. After reading the introduction of a few books, they decided to head back but then suddenly, Melody seemed to have had an unfamiliar feeling.

Her eyes darted to a pile of abandoned manuscripts. They were lying on top of each other in a dusty box. She walked straight to them and Michelle couldn't understand what was going on, she could only follow with her eyes. She watched as Melody dug through the pile till she paused for a moment. She picked up the next manuscript and opened to the seventh page.

Michelle quickly walked to her and it read,

"The seas run at his sight...

The whole world starts to seek light...

And you better run to avoid his sight...

Because a battle with him is just a slaughter,

Not a fight...

I know what I say is right...

I've met him and I've felt his might...

Definitely, his heart is darker than the night..."

Melody fell immediately.

The view came across vast waters, and then there was a temple. The view drew near and went inside the temple. Then a throne was met, a dark humanoid figure sat on the throne. It had no face, but Melody could tell it was looking straight at her.
