Start the music at the bold letters, starting now!Elliot has ALWAYS hated it when I got into relationships with others. He has never approved of any of my partners.
I used to be annoyed at this, but honestly, I've come to appreciate it. He's always been right about everyone I've dated.
At least he was. Since he's come back into my life, he doesn't care about what I do. Maybe it's because I set the "you're dating my best friend" boundary. It's even more interesting to see him fidget when he sees someone he forgot come around, though.
As I stood in the kitchen of the common area of our dorms, I listened to the conversation of Elliot and Oliver full on yapping to our visitor. We all decided to just stay in Sutton, and I invited our old friend.
"Al! You said you knew Elliot and Addie, right?"
I choked a bit on my red wine and RedBull. Wack liquor combo, I know.
How the FUCK did he learn about that?-"Yeah, we did all our shenanigans in high school together. Adds was the one who got hurt."
"Oh! Huh, wow. That makes sense. She is a sturdy bitch now."
Elliot laughed at Oliver's comment. For some reason, this group of boys loves making me out to be inhuman.
"She's always been into the unknown."
Huh. I have? Is that how you'd describe me?
I leaned against the counter and rested my head on my hand."Sturdy bitch, Ollie?"
"Yeah, you know- like.. you're smart and you can handle a lot."
"Mmh." I sipped my wine more. Honestly, I don't really care about what they say about me. Boys eyes are skewed in a romanticized fashion anyway.
"Oh, trust me, she can handle a lot more than you think."
What the fuck?
"Oh- oh!" Oliver's eyes lost their light when he heard Alex's comment about my sexual endeavors.
We have a history.
Elliot's eye twitched after the comment made.
"OKAY! Let's go to a club like we planned, yeah?""Yeah! Let's go start the car, babes."
Oliver kissed Elliot's cheek and I snorted. I've never seen Elliot date.. anybody.
They both left the lobby and I began cleaning out my glass. I was already dressed. Just need to follow in suit.
As I was cleaning my glass, I felt warmth behind me and the feeling of an arm creeping around my waist. I gasped and dropped the glass in the sink.
"Jesus-! Al, wear a fucking bell-"
"Oh please- I know why you called me here! Trying to reawaken what we had in senior year?"
I turned around to look at him and I crossed my arms. His other arm crept around the other side of my waist and his hands rested on the back of me.
"Can't we go to the club first? I wanted to get drunk.."
"Well, duh. Tonight though?" Al leans in for a kiss. Hah, not yet.
"Mm- maybe." I pushed his head away and he backed up in response. I took this opportunity to walk out of the kitchen.
"You're killing me, Sawyer.." He lets out a sigh, following me out of the dorm. I slung my bag across my shoulders.
"I haven't seen you in like a year and a half, Al."
