In the sky, away from the White House in DC, we see Senator Robert Kelly himself on the phone with a few people, and his private helicopter is taking him to his secret penthouse. He was the main support to the founder of the Mutant Control Act and Project Wideawake, a government program aimed at creating updated Sentinel robots that would help track down, detain, and, if necessary, kill violent mutants. However, that said arc hasn't been set yet and could change due to the UN world summit or if that senator becomes the president. Not many are too fond of the arc or using robots; anything wrong can happen, and Congress has tried to shut down the Sentinel project when Trask brought that idea up.

In the meeting and debate, Congress had Professor Xavier. He brought up a good defense to counter Kelly's rants against mutants. It was 60/40, but changed when Valerie Cooper reminded Congress and others that having mutants like the X-Men around can help keep things under control and avoid problems that Shield has been having lately. That caused a 50/50 change and anything can happen.

"Damn it," Kelly frowned as the phone call ended.

"Problem, sir?" The FBI agent asked.

"The president is siding with Cooper over Trask's and my opinion on the mutant problem. If I want to become the next president, I would need a good way to show those mutant freaks are the problem fully," Kelly replied, looking out the window of the helicopter.

"Perhaps you could bring that topic to the UN summit?" The agent suggested.

"We are Americans, let the world handle those mutant freaks. We need to focus on our problem here. This kind of problem is what liberals love to ignore. They shake hands and smile, but not me. This war is coming, and that's the reason why people like me are around to clean up the mess," Kelly stated with a small smirk, not seeing the agent's eyes through the sunglasses, which flashed a different color, and something was wrong here.

Then suddenly, the senator noicted down through the glass window and saw that the helicopter wasn't flying through a city, but a pure blue ocean could be seen down below, which surprised him.

"Where the hell are we?" Kelly asked out loud, confused.

Then the FIB agent's whole appearance began to change with a crack of the skin, with blue scans forming and a full figure changing from a young man into something else to the senator's horror. A shapeshifter mutant had sneaked into the copter and got the prey in her sight now. Her true appearance was a mature and exotic-looking beauty, showing deep, dark blue colored skin, with golden snake-like eyes, adding a cunning and dangerous look to them. She also showed to have long, slick, and smooth deep crimson hair, a single golden pendant tied to her forehead at the edge of her hair's arc. Her figure was shown to be a thin and yet well-developed one, with long legs that were connected to a wide pair of hips and also a pretty large rear, a thin waist with well-trained abs, and a pair of pretty large breasts, adding more to her seductive appearance.

For her attire we can see that she was wearing a tight, leather top made from black leather, which also showed to be sleeveless, tied around her neck and back, along with a pretty short and tight leather skirt, which did nothing to cover her hips, only her front and back, leaving a lot to be seen and imagined, a pair of black loose leather boots also being seen on her feet, completing her outfit.

This was Raven Darkholme, better known as the deadly shapeshifter - Mystique, and her mission was to capture the senator for the Brotherhood of Mutants.

The air in the cabin shifted, the hum of the rotors becoming the only thing keeping the Senator from the crushing blue depths below.

"The name is Mystique, Senator," Mystique purred, her voice a low, melodic contrast to the Senator's panicked breathing.

Kelly's eyes went wide as the 'agent's' skin didn't just change—it rippled. The tan suit and spectacles dissolved into a cascade of deep blue scales, like a wave of dark water rushing over a reef. The man he had been complaining to vanished, replaced by the striking, dangerous mutant woman.

"Y-y-y-your face?!" Kelly stammered, scrambling back against the cold glass of the cockpit window.

"You know senator, people like you are the reason I was afraid to attend school as a child," Mystique said, her golden eyes flashing with a predatory light, and some frown formed on her face.

Mystique stood with a fluid, feline grace, the tight black leather of her outfit creaking softly as she closed the distance and spoke, "And now? You're the sort of mess people like me are around to clean up."

"Stay away from me, you freak!" Kelly shouted, his hand searching blindly for a latch, a weapon, or anything.

"Freak, am I?" Mystique's lip curled into a smirk, her crimson hair catching the sunlight through the glass, and she added, "We'll see who the freaks are in the brave new world about to arrive. A world in which people like you will be only a sick, fading memory."

Kelly tried to lung for the door, but he was a politician, not a soldier. Mystique was a blur of blue and black leather. She didn't just hit him; she struck with the practiced efficiency of a Field Agent. A sharp, lightning-fast kick caught him square in the chest, followed by another kick strike to his face that sent his world into a tailspin.

"UGH!"

Kelly crumpled onto the floorboards, out cold from that kick to the chest and then to the face.

Raven didn't even look down at the heap of expensive suits and broken ego. She stepped over him and leaned into the pilot's cabin. The pilot didn't even flinch—he was one of theirs.

"He's out," Raven reported, her golden eyes already looking toward the horizon, perhaps toward the memory of a certain someone she left behind, or rather, captured of how they talk about viewing the ocean during missions.

"Proceed on course. The mission goes as planned."

"As you request," The pilot replied, being a mutant and banking the helicopter further away from the mainland and deeper into the unknown.

Meanwhile, at Xavier Manison

Revan had watched the TV news about Senator Kelly leaving the scene and couldn't help but feel that something was wrong. Especially how that FBI agent was trying to rush things and talking with one pilot. Why is there only one pilot? Should there be two for the helicopter? That was odd.

Revan frowned and had felt this odd feeling of danger to him from time to time. He had a memory or a imagie in his mind that showed a snake biting down on a rabbit before strangling it and then pulling it into its hole.

"Something must have happened to that scumbag senator. I don't really care about him or those like him, but this feeling of danger and something was off is very familair to me. I can't say what now, but somehow I would find out down the line," Revan thought, rubbing his knuckles a bit, and would keep that in mind.

A reunion would happen down the line again for Revan.
