Abbys shoes met the cement ground with a thud, her brown hair swaying in the sun. The girl felt the bus' doors close behind her, a gust of wind hitting her face.

"See you tonight!," she heard Lyla call out, pointing to their mutual friends that were still sitting in the bus ",don't be late, losers!" Abby let out a giggle and walked towards her, linking their arms.

Yet, before she could say anything, the Korean girl nodded her head towards their best friend, Sean Diaz, who seemed to be way to focused on his phone.

Abby just smirked, winking at Lyla before sneaking up on Sean and scaring him by slapping her hands on his shoulders ",are you texting Jenn?" The Mexican boy jumped, cursing loudly, and turned around to face his two friends.

"Update time!," Lyla cheered and cocked her head towards his phone ",heard back from Jenn yet?"

Sean scoffed at his friends' antics, shooting Abby a pleading look to stop Lyla. "Uhm..no," he mumbled, looking between the Korean girl and the floor ",I'm sure she'll reply soon, though."

Lyla only replied with an up-and-down look before taking his phone, ignoring his complaints.
Abby scooted closer to her friend, also wanting to look at the messages.

"Hey Jenn, u going to the party tonight?," Abby read out loudly, smirking as she heard Sean let out embarrassed sounds. The girl next to her scoffed, making a comment about his 'game' before getting the phone ripped off of her by the original owner again.

"I'm no good at this," Sean justified himself, shaking his head. Abby rolled her eyed, chuckling ",we can tell." Sean just bumped her shoulder in response.

He sighed, letting his head hang low for collecting his thoughts. "Okay. How about: Yo Jenn, see you at the party, let me know if I should bring handcuffs?"

The two girls shared a look before breaking off in laughter. "Thirsty bitch!," Lyla breathed out in between laughs, only making the other girl almost lose her stability from laughing so much.

"Just- oh my god," Lyla croaked out and grabbed his phone ",let 'Lyla the love witch' work her magic."

Sean handed it over, looking at Abby. "I'm going to regret this, aren't I?," he asked and crinkled his nose. The brunette girl shrugged ",As long as you don't sound like a total loser." The boys mouth twisted ",gee... thanks."

"I said matchmaker, not miracle worker!," Lyla remarked from behind them.

A 'send' sound emitted from the phone and Sean quickly rushed to her as fast as his body let him react. "would be awesome 2 see you there? I could've texted that!," he complained, turning around to start walking in the direction of his home.

"As if you had the balls to double text her," Abby mumbled under her breath, Sean showing her the middle finger from behind him.

While Sean walked ahead, Lyla pulled Abby close to her. "Now- I'm going to ask you for the last time before this party. Are you sure you do not have any feelings for Sean?," she mumbled lowly, being quiet as to Sean not overhearing them.

Abby shook her head ",Ew, no! Lyla, I've known him since I was like- two or something. He's like my brother!" she explained in a whisper shout, her eyes narrowed. Her friend just shrugged ",I'm just saying. But If you see Jenn and Sean at the party tonight- making out or something- then don't come running to me for it."

Abby let her head hand low, averting her eyes from Lyla. "Don't give me that sad, neglected puppy look," her friend warned, brushing their shoulders together.
