"Thank you Lils, you really are the best" My best friend, Emily, smiled at me.
"It's fine, I'll see you soon" I hugged her before exiting the restaurant.
Emily owns a restaurant five minutes away from my apartment. It's always super busy there so whenever I have the time, I try my best to help out. Even though I tell her not to pay me, she always transfers the money into my bank account otherwise she feels bad. She's too pure for this world.
I took my black headphones out of my tote bag and placed them on before clicking onto a random song in my playlist. I quietly hummed along to Lana Del Ray as I walked through the dark, quiet streets of London. I slid my hands into my pocket as I felt the cold breeze brush past me.
Just as I reached the door to my apartment, I received a notification. I unlocked the door and walked in, placing my bag down on the sofa. I sat down and checked my phone.
