Yo, my bad for such a long break between postings. Y'all already know I've been having a tough time writing the story right now, and I've been trying to brainstorm some ideas for myself to get out of this weird burnout-funk. So, I've come up with an idea, which I will announce when I post chapter twenty-three (which is under construction as we speak).

For now, this chapter is gonna be a little short; it's mostly just to reemphasize where the characters are during this point in the Skypiea arc, for myself and for y'all. Which, by the way, we are almost finished with!

I'm so excited to write the scene where Luffy absolutely destroys Eneru with the final blow, y'all have no idea. That will be around the time where (Y/n) stops going through it (finally lol).

But, for now, we still suffer a little suffering! I can practically hear the comments while writing this LMAO

Enjoy!

Chopper's dust-coated and bloodied fur brushed against my chin as I held him against my chest tightly; he laid limp, barely alive save for the shallow breaths that puffed from his open lips. Nami brushed against the taught muscle of my arm, the same one attached to my hand that I had plastered over my lips in order to hide the sound of my own breathing. The red-head inched her face around the corner, shuddering in horror at the scene unfolding before the dilapidated brick wall we were currently sheltering behind. I stared wide-eyed into open space, only able to hear the sounds of our crewmates falling in the battle against God Eneru himself.

The two of us, as well as Gan Fall, were separated from Luffy, the little girl Aisa, and Pierre (the pink bird) in our efforts to escape from the snake's bowels. Luffy had held onto the back-end of the waver, scrambling to pile our little group together and not realizing that the force of the propelling-breath-dial would blast him overboard. I could only watch helplessly as our trio fell from the snake's wide-open mouth, while Pierre plunged into the darkness after Luffy and Aisa. As soon as we hit the ground, we were thrown into a battle where the only participants were the ones who had survived the rest of the war; but they were being picked off like flies.

The blue-monster of a snake was zapped by an enormous plume of lightning out of seemingly nowhere, its scales scorched and smoking in the aftermath, maw gaping in agony. It let out a sorrowful, bellowing cry just before it finally collapsed into a curling-heap; an announcement for God Eneru's arrival.

Eneru decorated himself with gold pieces and lavish fabrics, the bare-chested man bearing a golden, shining staff and long earlobes with blonde hair that peeked from his bandana-like-headdress; what seemed like drums sprouted from his back, depicting various symbols that I couldn't place my finger on. They looked like some sort-of emblem. He sat languidly on a floating cloud-ball, legs crossed in boredom. He certainly looked the part of an overzealous, evil ruler; though he also sort of reminded me of that rapper from my home-world, Eminem...

Eneru had confronted our group while Nami and I found our hiding spot among the ruins. The first one to go down was Gan Fall, then went Robin after her deciphering with Eneru on the location of the Golden Bell; following them was Wiper, who had attempted to kill the arrogant entity with a sea prism stone. Everyone thought it had worked, up until the moment Eneru restarted his heart via his electrical abilities, before dealing with the Guerilla warrior swiftly. Zoro was last to go, after gallantly making his own attempt to attack the overwhelming antagonist and failing.

All that was left was Nami and I, pitifully shielded by the decrepit parts of a building that could fall apart with just a tap. The man knew that we were here, as he had announced a total count of seven people left in the area just before decimating all of our friends. Eneru wasn't a God, he was a tyrant. A villain who wanted to take this land in the sky and throw it back down to earth, as it was 'too unnatural' to be left in its place. Our leftover crewmates had made their attempts to stop them, and they had paid for it; bodies sparking and zapping in the aftermath, a hopeless reminder of what the two most useless fighters on the ship were now up against.
