The ending cycle

Every night mommy went to work
Daddy showed his love to her
She didn't understand why mom lost it when
She came home early and found him
She was so afraid of the fight
And watched them run out that night
He chased her to the top
And begged for her to stop
But when she fell
He followed as well

The pain was too much to bare
They showed just how much they cared
They left their daughter all alone
Confused and crying back at home

She grew up and fell in love
With some one that cared too much
She swore she'd never be like them
But after spending her 21st birthday drinking
The memories came flooding back
And she couldn't stand the attack
So she called him up one last time
Before running into the night

She climbed to the top of the stairs
And he chased her all the way there
She whispered to him goodbye
Then took her leap from the sky

He watched her fall and ran to the edge
Before he could jump he hit his knees instead

He cried and begged for it all to be a dream
He wanted to go with her desperately
But after 60 years of living with what she did
His age took him from his wife and kids
