BACKGROUND:
Zeus is the upper head of the Greek Pantheon of gods, while some called him Jupiter due to the two head deities being similiar they actually are different entities. Zeus actually does not hold a true gender nor true mortal form as he is a divine being far above a normal deity. Zeus is often associated with an eagle, an oaken tree, the great royal sceptre and a thunderbolt. Zeus was originally the god of the sky earning him the name of Sky Father.
In Greece he is associated with justice and well being. They said he gravely punished wicked people and evildoers who wish harm on others, yet rewarded those who did the opposite and showed to be good.
His famous lightning bolts were a gift from the Cyclops, giants who helped Zeus overcome the might of the great Kronos/Cronos, or better known as Zeus's father. Zeus uses the lightning bolt/spear as a weapon for offense while using a shining golden shield engraved with an eagle to defend himself.
Zeus was the son of the great god Kronos/Cronos and the goddess Rhea. Cronos feared his children would want to overpower him and take his place as leader at the head of the Olympus. In madness he swallowed all of Zeus' siblings. Zeus had not been born at this point. When born Zeus was safely hid away on some closeby islands before Cronus could swallow him. Rhea then she wrapped a stone in the robes used for a baby and presented itto Cronos who swallowed the stone fake child. Zeus grew to adulthood over the years and disguised himself to trick Cronos. Zeus gave his father a beverage containing a liquid that forces Cronos to spit his children out. The siblings allied together started the war on the titans, in particular Cronos. Cronos was dethroned after the bloody war ny Zeus who took the seat as leader onto himself. It was believed that he settled disputes fairly, but when angered thoroughly would smite one with a bolt of lightning. He was given many responsibilities like, changing seasons, maintaining the sun and more.
Zeus had two brothers: Hades the ruler of the underworld and Poseidon the godly ruler of the seas. He also had three sisters: Hestia, Demeter and Hera.
