Chapter 3

Cale was kneeling down and looking at grave in front of [ Drew Thames] . It has been a few months since his mother's pasting, the day of the funeral was a blur, most he remembered was his brother sobbing and comforting his grieving father and later spending the night with deon H̶e̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶s̶c̶a̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶b̶r̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶l̶e̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶

"Hyung? " he looked behind and saw deon holding a umbrella as not to get a sunburn. He got up fast, when to deon. "What are you doing in sunlight? What if you get a sunburn deon?"

Deon looked down for a minute, " i was looking for you, it had been a while since you came out so i wanted to check up on you". Cale sighed and held his brother's hand "i am sorry if i made you feel worried, let's go back inside i think its time for lunch now"

Deon nodded and started walking back

"Are we going to have lunch in your room again? Its been a while since we had lunch with father " deon asked. Oh Oh how could he had forgotten, their father had been somewhat avoiding them since mother's death M̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶r̶e̶m̶i̶n̶d̶ ̶h̶i̶m̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶m̶o̶t̶h̶e̶r̶

"Yes we eat in my room today as well. Why? You don't like spending time with your older brother now that your 6? " cale teased deon

Deon looked at his brother flustered with his brother teasing his so much " N-no ! Of course not"

Cale laughed at deon's reaction. Deon looked at his brother and asked "  Hyung ? can i learn to wield a sword? ". Cale surprised by the question" what?" " Can i learn to wield a sword? "

"I understand what you ask deon but why? "
" i want to grow strong and protect Hyung ! " deon replied smiling brightly. Cal sighed and pinched his deon's cheeks "no"

"It hurts but why " "why you're so small, a small wind can send you flying in air and as you're older brother it's my job to protect you and the other way around" "but please-"
"Deon no we aren't having this conversation again "

"Deon, cale meet your new mother Violan and brother Basen. We be getting married in 2 months from now "

Cale looked at his father in disbelief, it’s only been a year since their mother's death and father already moved on ?? And violan looked pregnant a few weeks if he was right. How long have they been together when he and deon were grieving their's mother's loss ?

He congratulationed them both and gave a small hello to the kid and left with deon who was quiet during the whole time . He told ron to bring their food to his room and left.

Deon looked at cale in shock "i don't want a new mother i miss our mom" it was quiet. Cale closed his eyes and got down on his knees "deon look at me , i also don't wish for any other mother ok? You don't have to call her mom miss is ok . We have to get along with them they are our family, don't be mad at them for our father mistake they are innocent ok?

Deon looked at the ground , cale titled his head "deon?". Deon nodded "ok i understand"

Cale patted his head "good baby" "i am not a baby" deon huffed. Cale smiled

Cale finished making his deal with GoD. " will deon be ok during everything?" He asked GoD
He was pretty worried about deon he was born weaking than others and of course his health condition didn't help relieve cale's stress and worry

"He will be alright in everything" GoD looked at cale for a while, deep in thought. "I have something to give you"

Cale looked at GoD wondering what the god would give him "here take it and read it you will understand your brother better with this"

Cale took the book it looked old and only had
{Talent} written on it. He thanked the god and left.

He opened the book and started reading. Oh oh he understood what the god meant  . He closed the book half way too scared to continue too scared to know what about happening to deon

He took deep breaths and continued.

He couldn't recognize his brother. His brother become a disaster?  His brother  who couldn't  even pick up a sword? Who was always so sweet to other? A disaster?

The more he read the brother, the more sorrow he felt. His brother was all alone betrayed  by so many and he died alone
