I have many dreams. Not the hope of a future career but dreams from sleeping each night.
Many come from experiences I've felt, the common one is the feeling of falling. I'm never of fan of that feeling.
I often think that dreams may have some meaning, like when I see a friend, I have the urge to reach out and talk to them when I haven't for while because I've been busy in my life. Clearly not every dream has a meaning, some even show insecurities.
There has been only few "nightmares" I've had all my life, I can even count them on one hand. However, there was only one nightmare that I remembered, not because it was scary in a sense of a monster under my bed or a creature or person who comes to get me, but it was about my family.
My family is loving and great but I wasn't scared of them but what they turned into.
It started out weird by me entering my house and seeing a pacman ghost in 3D form in the kitchen, the ghost turned to me and was frightened and ran away behind the wall. I, on the other hand, went outside thinking it was odd a pacman ghost was in my house.
I went to the edge of the sidewalk and sat down on the ground and got out this large hulk toy and played with some other kids as one of them had a spider-man toy, I never saw the other kids bodys, only their arms as the rest was out of view.
After playing with the kids, they left and I had to return inside even when I didn't like the thought of a ghost in my house.
I walked up to my house doorway and see two purple 2D/3D octopuses on the ground, I was confused so I went and touched the slick textured creature to understand what they are. For some reason, in my mind and heart, they were my parents.
Once realizing that, I accidentally took a piece of my father's form and went inside the house to see the pacman ghost, thinking it was they're doing for what my parents had become.
I entered the house and the ghost was in the kitchen again and it runs away again but I call it back and when it comes, I realize it's harmless.
I ended up crying as I woke up at the thought my parents wouldn't be there for me because they had been turned into a form no longer communicative to me.
My "nightmare" was the thought of losing those close to me. Knowing how much I love my family, always remembered that dream most amung the hundreds of dreams I've had over the years.
Other dreams I often do remember are the ones where I got to fly, even flapping my arms to keep afloat. Flying dreams happen to be my favorite of the variety I dream of.
My flying dreams usually start out with me realizing I can float/jump higher using my arms. I try and run and jump to see me glide when I put my arms out as I still end up going down unlike peter pan so I've had my fair share of flapping my arms to see how that would go.
My arms only helped me fly higher if I did it correctly, as in, flapping like a bird and not wildly like a baby. Once I had realized that, my goal in most of those dreams were to try and fly as high as possible and definitely show it off to people I knew or see in my dreams.
Some of my flying dreams allowed me to reach the clouds, while others barely got above a house in height. I still enjoy the thought of flying. Even saying I would prefer it as a superpower if possible but the closest I'll ever get close to flying like a character (superman) is in my dreams.
I'll write more about my odd dreams every few chapters as I've written many over the years.
Are there any odd dreams you've had before?
