Chapter 21: Usual Suspects

A/N Can y'all see the pictures at the top of the screen they're supposed to be there but I don't know if they are because they turn black on side if not does anyone know how to fix it

Washington, DC - December 30

Superman stands in front of the Hall of Justice and a crowd of people and reporters stretching as far as the eye can see. "The Justice League was formed for two reasons. First, as an acknowledgment that no single individual no matter how powerful can solve all the world's problems alone, and second to uphold the values of truth, liberty, and justice. That last one's even in the name," Superman finishes drawing laughter from the crowd.

"These five heroes have sworn to uphold those values," he continues his speech.

Inside the Hall of Justice, the team watches live coverage of the event. "You are watching live coverage of the Justice League's induction of its five newest members. Looks like the entire league has shown up to welcome the new blood everyone from Batman to Captain Marvel," speaks Cat Grant through the monitor in the Hall.

"I'm glad they didn't kick Billy out," Wally says as eating an apple.

"And I love the fact that there's a ten year old on the league."

"There is," Rocket responds in shock.

"Ow," Wally exclaims as Robin elbows him.

"Way to keep a secret genius," Robin remarks.

"Hey, she's on the team now right?"

"Superman is now handing out official league membership cards starting with Doctor Fate, The Atom, Plastic Man, and Icon," speaks Cat Grant.

"You know I was the one who convinced Icon to become a hero in the first place I should be celebrating outside with him not hidden away in here." Rocket complains.

"Welcome to our world," Kaldur responds.

"Well, I suppose there's an upside, too," Rocket says obviously checking Kaldur out.

"Finally, Green Arrow welcomes his former protege Speedy now known as Red Arrow to this roster of heroes."

"Way to go, Roy," Wally exclaims in excitement!

"At last, he has his wish," Kaldur speaks.

"The first of us to make it," Wally says.

"No one will call him a sidekick anymore," Robin states.

"Wait since when is being a sidekick a bad thing?" Rocket asks.

"You sidekicks were my inspiration."

"We'll see six months ago," Robin starts before his watch beeps interrupting the conversation.

"So there you have it the world's officially a safer place," Cat Grant speaks.

"Are you ready to see the Watchtower?" Canary asks Red Arrow.

"Born that way. Plus six months," The archer responds.

"I'm sure the team will want to congratulate all of you first."

"You don't know Raquel. That is Rocket. After making her wait inside congratulations may not be the first thing on her mind," Icon speaks.

As the league arrives in the basement of the Hall of Justice Icon speaks "Though I thought she would at least stick around."
