Tough love

Betrayal

Today was more tiring than any other day. You guys were already hella tired from yesterday's picnic and today you had PT class which promotes the formation of lactic acid in your muscle cells. You got cramps and they all too for sure.

And the worst thing that happened today was Lisa's behaviour. She didn't sit with you. You found it weird cause she had never done this. But you respect her choice and let her do what she wants. You sit alone today on the last bench. Being the girl who always sits on the first bench it was a little different for you today. However, it did help you in taking naps in between the classes.

It was lunchtime and you thought Lisa would come to have lunch together but when she didn't you reached out to her.
"Aren't you coming to have lunch with me?" You asked with a smile holding your lunch in your hands.
"I am not hungry, I'll eat it later. You can have yours" she politely denied but you felt that the vibe was disturbed. She was disappointed in you because of something.
"Did I do something wrong?" You asked putting down the lunch on the seat.

"What are you talking about? You did nothing wrong" She answered but it wasn't the truth.

"Enough Lisa, say the truth already. Tell me what happened?" You asked having enough of Lisa's lies.

"You guys went out on a picnic without me. Why didn't you tell me this?" She answered which left you surprised since you did ask her.

"I asked you if you wanted to go on a picnic with me. And you denied saying you needed to prepare for chemistry practicals" You tried to clear things up.

"I thought that it would be a hangout for an hour or two but you guys spend your whole day there. I wanted to be there too. You should have told me about your plans" Everything she said made no sense to her. How could it matter if they were going for an hour or a whole day?

"We didn't plan to spend our whole day there but the clouds got purple and then we decided to spend our evening there. I even called you through Jimin's phone but you didn't pick up" You called her after reaching Jimin's house but she didn't pick up.

"I was doing my homework then and I don't want to discuss it now" She said and turned to leave. Still, things were blurry to you so you ran and blocked her way by standing in front of her.

"But what's my mistake in this? Why are you not talking to me?" You asked getting a bit hurt by those eyes that Lisa gave you earlier. Her eyes show betrayal but you didn't betray her. Not at all.

"You enjoy without me and that's your mistake" These were the last words spoken by Lisa before she left the room.
Now you felt something in the chest burning.
Did she say that?
You slowly went to your seat and sat there. Then you notice Jimin, Suga and Jungkook looking at you.
They came to your seat with their lunch.
"What happened? Did you two fight?" Jimin asked munching on the fried rice.

"I don't know what she wanted to tell me. How could be she upset because I enjoyed being without her? I asked her if she wanted to come, I asked her 2 times but she denied again and again. What i did do wrong?" To be honest you had no clue of where things went wrong. And yeah none of them. They looked at you blankly and nodded. You knew that they didn't understand anything but they tried to make it better.

Jungkook opened your lunch and gestured for you to have it. You looked at the extra spoon you bought for Lisa. She loved the noodles your mom made.

"I bought extra noodles for Lisa" You pouted a little in disappointment. You especially told your mom to put as much as she could.

"No need to worry about that, I am here at your service to finish it" Jungkook joked bowing a little and making the whole environment lighter than before.
Jungkook has some power over your moods. He could make them better or bitter in a second.

"Sure" You smiled and passed him the spoon. He was sitting opposite to you. After finishing his lunch he slipped a little closer to have your lunch as well.
Not to mention but he does eat a lot.
He took a bite and that's when you notice how close you both were. You didn't backed instead take your time in viewing such a gorgeous thing. You notice the mole under his lip. It was the first time you noticed it.

"Wow!! They are amazing" Jungkook exclaimed loving the taste. And why not? Everybody loves the food prepared by your mom.

"Well, How are you guys  preparing for midterms?" Yoongi asked making a notice of his presence.

"Your second sentence today after 'present', well done " Jimin mocked to which Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"Midterms? Are they coming? Is this tomorrow?" Jungkook asked choking on his food. He looked a little too surprised by the word midterm. You couldn't stop yourself from laughing.

"We still have 2 weeks right?" You asked being not so sure.
"1 day less in 14 days" Suga corrected you.

"Fuck, I am gonna fail for sure this time
I haven't opened physics yet" Jungkook panicked and increased the pace of everything. You find it cute.

"Slow down you pig, mine is not complete too" You slapped him slightly.

"How many are left?" Jungkook asked slowing down a little.

"1 chapter" You answered with a sad tone cause for you it's a big thing.

"Dude, if I had 1 chap left I would never complete it and you are stressing cause Of that 1 chap?" Jungkook really won't complete that. Passing marks are enough for him to be honest.

"It has high weightage," You said packing your lunch.

"Whatever" Jimin didn't take it seriously for real like always.
Jimin and Suga went to the canteen to have their desserts. Jungkook was still there deeply thinking about something, most probably physics.

"Not leaving to the canteen?" You asked putting your lunch in the bag.

"What if I fail?" He asked with hopeless eyes. He wanted to hear no, no he won't fail.

"You won't idiot" You slapped his head a little harder this time.

"Ouch!! you know what? I hate physics and I am not gonna pass" He declared standing and taking his lunch.

"Jungkook at least try, you just said that you haven't started physics yet. How could you decide without giving it your best and, to be honest, it's better than chemistry" You try to uplift him to at least try.

"It's easy for you since you are an A-grade student but I am not. I am not as smart as you" He got irritated to hear the same thing from everyone.

"Everybody says the same thing but no one helps me. My dad would give me a lecture for 2 hours but wouldn't care to check my progress. Why should I try when no one tries to make me happy and healthy" You were angry and hurt. It was in the way he said it.

You didn't know what to say so you didn't.
"I will help you" This is what you thinking but didn't realise when you said it louder, enough for him to hear it.

"How? Don't tell me that you are gonna tutor me for exams" He frowned a little, didn't expect to hear that from you.
Well, you didn't know what you meant when you said you'd help him. But Jungkook just gives you a mindblowing idea.

"Yes exactly" you answered nodding your head vigorously.

"What? Really? No, you can't, it would show that I am stupid" He was against the idea but he can't win when he is against you.

"Why? Aren't you?" You mocked him and as a result, got a harsh pat on your forehead. It didn't hurt you but you hissed in it, it's a friendship thing.

"Gate 2 when the school finishes" You shouted and stood up to wash your hands.

"Don't you dare to make me wait" you warned him and left. You feel calm when he listens to you like a good kid.
