Still singing 'Bet On Me' me and Ricky arrived at Ashlyn's. According to everyone's outfits, everyone knew we were doing HSM 2.

At the time Ricky was finally done singing, everyone applauded, even EJ. 

"Okay, okay, okay! Does anybody not know that we're doing High School Musical 2" Carlos asked loud and clear.

"We are? Whoo-hoo!" EJ cheers which was followed by a groan of Carlos.

I was walking into the kitchen where Nini, Gina and Ashlyn were preparing food.

"Stunning girl" Nini said towards me.

"Thanks, I know we decided to do theme 2000s, but like my parents almost killed me after they saw my outfit"

"Don't worry Chlo, this sparkly dress looks way better" Gina chuckled.

"Ok rules of the game, it's really important. We need to set intentions and be accountable to one another this year" Kourtney explained her game.

Oh, that's why we had to write New Years resolutions when we arrived.

"Okay number 1, who can guess? I resolve to remember everybody fondly when I go to Duke" Kourtney read.

"EJ, you got into Duke" Ashlyn said surprised.

"I mean, have I technically gotten 'into' Duke? Did my father and our grandpa before also go to Duke? Guys, it's just a matter of time" EJ bragged.

"Okay, I lost track of the air quotes" Ricky whispered towards me and I chuckled.

"Resolution two, my cows" Kourtney said confused.

"Sebbie" I pouted.

"You guys, I thought we were writing down what we're thankful for" Seb said.

"Next one, I resolve to follow my dreams however far away they take me" Kourtney read.

"That's gotta be Gina, right?" Ricky guessed, "I feel like it's more Nini" I guessed.

"Good guess Chloe, it is actually" Nini smiled.

Big Red finally arrived with the pizzas. I feel bad for him that his parents let him work on New Years Eve. Especially since he had been looking forward to this day.

He told me that he wanted to kiss Ashlyn from 31rd december to 1 january. Which may seems complicated at first hear, but he just meant during the countdown.

"Think of this mashup as a pre-audition workshop, you may begin" Carlos announced.

Its out with the old, and in with the new. Goodbye clouds of gray. Hello, skies of blue.

Seb began singing 'Fabulous', which is originally sang by Sharpay also known as Ashley Tisdale.

Quickly I followed with you are the music in me. "Nananana, nananana, yeah, you are the music in me."

Without it being under my knowledge, Ricky joined me while playing guitar. "You know the words once upon a time"

Me and Ricky both leaned in, but were shook apart due the clapping of our castmates.

"Everybody all for one, this summer has just began" Big Red began singing.

"Ten seconds till midnight" Natalie yelled.

Everyone started counting down and at 1 Ricky pulled me in a hug. The hug turned quickly into a kiss, lifting me up.

"Everybody I have an announcement" Miss Jenn bursted into Ashlyn's house.

"Contrary to rumor, we are not doing HSM 2" Miss Jenn began.

"We are doing an American classic. Beauty and the Beast. And I know East High just did it a couple years ago. You never did it my way. And you didn't win the most important award in all time of theater"

"The Tony?" Gina questioned.

"Okay, the 2nd most important award" 

"The Drama Desk?" Seb asked.

"Everyone calm down! This semester, we are entering the Alan Menken Awards for High School Musical Theater"

"But High School Musical is in the name, why can't we do it then?" I joked, followed by laughter.

Damn, I guess I'm drunk of candy and pizza.

"Who is ready to show that they deserve that scholarship to NYU?" Miss Jenn asked and everyone cheered.

"What team?" Ricky yelled, "Wildcats" everyone screamed.

"Chloe, you were born for this show" Big Red came to me, "I already picture you in that gold dress" Ashlyn complimented.

"I'm in, if you're in" Ricky said to me.

Am I sad that we won't be doing High School Musical 2? Yes. Am I happier that we are doing my favorite Disney movie? Absolutely.

I could've never guessed that I would get so much compliments. And the fact it was associated with my favorite Disney princess. A dream that came true.

Both, me and Ricky were on the way to his house. He had explained to me that he would be moving to an appartment. It'll be one of the last times he, or me, would be there.

I know how hard it is to see all your memories, from his perspectif, childhood memories fade away. So, I want to be there for him whenever I can.

"Ricky, I forgot my pjs at home"

"Oh, you can borrow something of mine. Wait, was that on purpose so you'll have to wear my clothes" Ricky questioned

"Maybe" I gave in.

He grabbed me and threw me on the bed, laying down next to me.

"Have you even watched Beauty and the beast" I asked Ricky out of nowhere.

"No" he chuckled.

"Uh-, crime"

"How are you even able to get the leads when you didn't even watch the musical, I swear you will get the beast. I'm like 99% sure" I laughed.

"You just gotta have a little bit of charm"

"Sure, pretty boy" I chuckled.

"It does a lot, look at you, gorgeous"

"Shut up" I threw a pillow on his head.

We put on Beauty and the beast, he has to at least watch the movie one time before going away with the lead. Once again.

He grabbed my waist pulling me closer to him. I put the sleeves of his hoodie, that I'm wearing, over my hands and smell them.

Just perfect.
