Life of a Leprechaun

Chapter 1: school

~Chapter 1: school~

"Clover! Bunyon! Hurry up its your first day of school!" My mother yells. Bunyon and I run down the stairs to the door. Today I'm wearing lime green tights with orange flats, a dark green jacket a orange blouse and a green beanie with a clover on the side. We Leprechauns like 'green.'

I grab my lunch and run to my mother. "Clover your going to miss the bus, you too Bunyon! Come on I'm not supposed to do this but I'll just teleport you. Ok link arms! Quickly you don't want to miss school!" Bunyon and I link arms and mom says a spell and we are spiraling through a purple and blue vortex. But only for a second because we land flat on ground. "Woah we are lying on the cold hard ground." bunyon says. "Ohhh ohhhh" (Lol I knew you were trouble song. I just felt that I needed to add that.)

I stand up and wipe the dirt of my clothes. I help my brother up and he does the same.

"Bye Bunyon I'm off to class!" I yell while I start to jog to my class.

"See ya later!" He says and starts jogging in the other direction. Bunyon and I are pretty good friends. For siblings. We fight sometimes but other then that we've got each others back. Which is uncommon for Leprechauns because usually siblings hate each other and one time, a boy killed his sister when she was trying her magic on his pet.

"Good morning class! I am Mrs. Barnel and I will be your teacher for the year. Now please open your textbooks to page 17. Today we will be talking about how to change one thing to another. We will be practicing on mushrooms and trying to turn them to gold."

Well this will be fun.

"To make it easier you's be in partners. That I already picked. Julian and Mage. Lacey and Mumford. Jeanette and girths. And Clover and Midge." My eyes followed Mrs. Barnels hand and it landed (not literally) on a boy my age with red hair and blue eyes.

"Everyone know there partners!" Mrs. Barnel asked. We all replied with a yes. Mrs. Barnel started readed from the book about how to change the mushroom to gold in a simple trick. "All you have to say is 'mayemba ta ram' and then the words mushroom to gold. Simple as that. Ok now lets try this! Get into your partners!"

We all shuffled towards our partners awkwardly and sat beside each other at a desk. Mrs. Barnel wrote the words 'mayemba ta ram mushroom to gold' on the board.

"Oi I'm midge." 

"I-" 

"You already know" he said before I could answer. 

"Yea... I'm clover which you already know." I replied with a kind smile. Young leprechauns like me are very kind. But when you change yourself into a real leprechaun your mood, and looks change. I never want to grow up. But it's my destiny. My mom is so nice because she never changed herself into a real leprechaun. But she was too valuable to throw away so the council of leprechauns made her head of teleportation.

"So should we start trying this out?" He returned the smile. This guy is really nice. Last year every single one of my partners were little but heads!

"Mayemba ta ram! Mushroom to gold!" I said forcefully. Nothing. "This isn't working. I've tried 11 times!" I whined to Midge. "You won't get it the first day... Nobody will! Let me try." He said with a chuckle. "Mayemba ta ram! Mushroom to gold!" Midge said. "*sigh* let's just face it we are not good at mag-" he was cut off by a bright light and the rattling of the mushroom. Then the mushroom started to turn yellow and then poof! There was a gold coin. "Oh My Green Clonkers! Midge! You did it! Your a natural!" I say while giving him a high five. "It's not much of an accomplishment! But thanks anyways!" He replied while examining the coin. "Not an accomplishment! Not an accomplishment! Are you crazy! Midge you should be proud!" I say in one breath. "Ok ok. But still- but-but ok I'm proud and it is an accomplishment!" He says while holding his hand against his heart and we burst into laughter. We may become best friends!

"Midge! You did it. Now come up to the front of the class and show your coin! You should be proud it's a tricky trick?" Mrs. Barnel walks over and congratulates Midge. "Go on midge!" I say while shooing him up to the front of the classroom. "Everyone look at midge he has done the spell." Mrs. Barnel says and everyone starts clapping. I laugh to myself. "Um- hi? My name is midge... I-um did the spell. Yep! See." And he lifted up the coin for everyone to see. "Am I done?" He cocked an eyebrow at Mrs. Barnel. "Yes you may return to your seat. Everyone keep on practicing." She said and sat back in her seat and started reading Leprechauns next model.

"I'm going to try this one more time! Or 2... Maybe 3....4?" I ask Midge while lowering myself in my seat lower at each word. "How about until you get it right?" He chuckles. "Ok. Until I get it right! I can do this! I can do this! I can do this!" I chant while pumping my fist in the air. "Haha yes you can yes you can!" Midge mocks. I chuckle and start trying it again.

"Mayemba ta ram! Mushroom to gold!" I yell at the mushroom. "32" midge says while he flips the page to a book. "I give up!" I whine and I slouch down in my seat. "Whatcha reading" I ask. "Oh me father got it for me when he was in the human world. Isn't it weird how the human world is only outside of this forest!" Midge says. "Your dad goes to the human world and is allowed to come back!" i gaped at him. "Yep! When I get my certificate of magic I'm gonna explore the parts of this forest which has never been explored and eventually find the human world." he explains while setting his eyes back on his book. "Can I come?" I ask. "Come where?" Midge asks. "You said you wanna go exploring in the forest and eventually find the human world. Can I come with you?" I looks at me for a minute.

"Ok!"
