8. Platonic

I rushed to my room that was across from both the boys rooms, and slammed the door shut with a huff. I'm feeling the heat between my legs it's becoming unbearable. This is the strongest it has ever been. Almost painful. As a girl I feel I should know why but this is different. Maybe I need to go to the doctor.

I walked over to my bag and put on some shorts and a sports bra. I started putting all my clothes inside the draws of the dresser so everything was neat. I'm the middle of unpacking I found the old picture of me and an old childhood friend of mine that disappeared. His name was raife. I had the biggest crush on him growing up and was just so love struck as a kid about him. The picture shows him pulling me in close to him on the couch with his knuckles scuffing up my hair. Big old smiles on our faces staring at each other.

I gave a light smile thinking of all the memories and emotions to when he was still around. Nobody knows why he disappeared or how. It was just just so sudden. One day me and him were playing in the field of sunflowers.

-flashback-

"RAIFE!!" I said with the biggest smile on my face cheeks are reddened. I was running away from him and every turn I'd make he'd pop his head out of the sunflower maze to scare me.

"NOOO!" He popped out and ran after me grabbing me by my hips and picking me up to throw me over his shoulder. Walking me down the long pathway to the beginning of the maze.

"You're in for it jade." I was laughing to hard to say anything. Just little old me kicking my legs.

"Here we are!" Raife said and sat me down on the wood that was in the middle of the open field. Tall enough for him to be face to face with me. I kept blushing and redirecting my gaze at him.

"Look at me jade.." raife said and I looked into his vibrant green eyes. He had a light smile on his face and reached up to twirl my hair.

"What.." I said shyly. He waited a moment just looking at me before saying anything.

"You know how they say there's a soul mate for everyone?" I nodded my head.

"Well if I don't have one will you be mine when we grow up?" I laughed so excitingly.

"Yes! We are never leaving each other. We are best friends!" He laughed and hugged me so tight with a small kiss on the cheek.

"RAIFE! GET OVER HERE." We quickly pulled away from each other like two kids who just got caught from stealing cookies from the cookie jar. It was raifes dad. He gave me and glacé and then ran over to his dad.

All I could hear was muffled conversation but I knew his dad was furious. He grabbed raifes wrist and pulled him along walking away. Raife was yelling no trying to pull out of his grip but couldn't. He then turned and gave me this saddened look and ripped his bracelet off to toss it in the field towards me.

I ran and picked it up, the pretty black chain with the upside down cross showed with the engraving of R on it. I had no idea that would be the last time I'd see him.

-end of flashback-

I set the picture down on the dresser and found the bracelet to hang loosely on the picture next to us smiling little kids.

I finished putting away everything and plopped down on the bed sighing.

"I hope everything's okay with you raife.. I miss you. Best friends forever, soulmates no matter what." I said with a smile and turned over on my side looking outside at the moon from the window.

Soon enough I fell asleep.

This is short but I had to be in there lol. I took a very long break from posting. Been dealing with boring adult stuff. Ugh. Anyways I made a plan of finishing this book. And i 100 percent am. I missed you all:)
