"You're so welcome boo." I told my client as I added the finishing touches to her nails.

"Oh my gosh these are soo pretty, how much were they again?" She asked taking her wallet out her purse.

"Just $90 this time." I told her as I started to clean up my area so I could leave on time.

"Alright. Here you go." She said passing me an $100 dollar bill.

"Thank you. See you in 8 weeks." I said walking her to the door.

"Be safe." She said as I closed the door behind her.

I sat down on my bean bag and checked the time. It read that it was only 9 am so I knew I had enough time to go home and do the necessities.

I had plans to go to my bestfriend's brother block party today. I normally don't go out but she begged and begged so I gave in and now I'm going.

I really want it to be a "hey and bye" situation, but knowing my bestfriend we'll be there all night.

I sighed and locked my phone finishing the clean up process so I could go home.

I did have two appointments today but my 2 o'clock appointment cancelled so I was finished for the day. I really planned on chilling when I got home until it was time for me to get ready.

*ding*

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone going off. I grabbed it off my bean bag and read the notification. "Pops ❤️" was glowing across the screen. I finished my cleaning and then replied to him.

𝗣𝗼𝗽𝘀 ❤️

I hearted the message and turned off my phone. Me and my dad has always been close. Him and my mom got a divorce when I was young and she signed her parental rights away to my dad. He was heartbroken and struggling. Well that's until he met Lisa.

She was the most gorgeous, kindest, caring, loving person I've ever met. She stepped up and showed me a real role model. Her and dad got married when I was about 7 and they've been together ever since.

Lisa helped my dad get back on his feet so he could provide for the both of us. My dad kept his business striving and made me the most independent girl ever. I loved him for that. Now I have my own business, my own apartment, my own car, my own everything.

I was the only child and Lisa adopted me when I was 16. It was the best day ever and I was the happiest girl on the planet. She promised to always love and care for me like I was her own and she never let me down.

Now they live in some rich neighborhood, no debts, golfing and drinking wine by 12 pm. And I love that for them. I graduated from nursing school. Hopefully I'll be an ultra sound tech by the end of the year. And if not I'll continue to go harder next year.

I locked up my salon and walked to my car. I had me a pretty black bmw and she was my babyyyy. I took very good care of her because without her where would I be? Exactly.

I let her warm up a lil bit before heading to my apartment. I checked my notifications and noticed my bestfriend texted me.

"I'll respond when I get home" I said to myself placing my phone in my lap.

"Finally." I said sighing pulling up to my apartment complex. Daddy brought my apartment for me when I graduated college. He knew I was responsible and ready for my own space. He trusted me and I trusted myself.

I parked in my regular parking spot and turned my car off. I grabbed my purse, phone, and took my keys out the ignition. I opened the car door and stepped outside.

"Damn it feel goodddd" I said to myself sticking out my tongue. I closed the door and started walking to my apartment. It was 86 degrees today and it was a Saturday. No appointments tomorrow?

"Definitely getting drunk with Jas ass tonight." I said to myself as I laughed.

I got to my apartment door and unlocked it. I walked inside to see it just how I left it. I was just ready to chill and lay down in my bed.

"Welp I got until 4:00" I said to myself as I placed my keys on the table.
