"Omgg I was so nervous taking my practice test earlier." I said to Jas over the phone. I had just got out the shower and was waiting on Malik to come home. I called Jas in the meantime to tell her about my morning.

"Why? You know you smart .. you pass every test and you're GOING to pass your exam." She said, cooking pancakes and stuff.

"I know but I just be second guessing myself I guess. It's like when I look down at the paper so many things start rushing through my mind." I replied wrapping my towel around my body. I stepped onto the mat infront of the sink and stared into the foggy mirror.

"Ariya you're literally the whole package. Your beautiful, smart, passionate, caring, kind, and not only that your soul itself is perfect. I know there isn't a such thing as someone being perfect but if there was anyone to come close to it, it would be you. It IS you." She said looking at the camera. I set up the phone and looked back at her. She blew a kiss and I blew one back.

"This is why I love you. I can talk to you about anything and you know exactly what to say. Thank you bestie I love you so so so much." I said, starting to get dressed. I heard the front door open and knew who it was.

"I love you more bestie." She said back. I finished putting on my clothes and doing the basic after shower necessities.

"Malik just got here so I'm gonna call you back later. I love youu." I said to her. She looked at the camera and nodded her head. She blew another kiss before hanging up.

I walked out the bathroom and into the bedroom to see where he was. I waited for him to open the door and it felt like agesss. I haven't seen him in like a week 1/2 so it felt like the beginning all over again .. if yk what I'm tryna say.

I could feel my heart start to beat faster as I stared at the door. I heard something crackling (I'm guessing the bag of food) and his footsteps getting closer to the door. I watched the door handle turn as he opened the door. I sat on the bed in his wife beater that stopped at the midway of my thighs and didn't fit on me at all.

His eyes locked on mines as he stood in the doorway. He held a bag of Denny's in his hand and his key in the other. He walked into the room a little bit, shutting the door and sat the food on top of the dresser. I stared at him as he quietly took off his shoes, hoodie, and shirt. He was left in his black nike shorts and his white tee.

We didn't speak a word to each other and I wasn't sure if it was a good silence or a bad silence. I'm going to assume it's a good silence because we rarely argued now. We learned to just comprehend each other's feelings and opinions without being so hostile and defensive. We learned from each other that we are one another's person.
