"and the nominees for best actress in a drama TV series are.." amelie's anxiety went up, her leg bouncing furiously. amelie zoned out until she heard her name. "amelie dean morgan, 'mother maid'! and last of all, bella ramsey, 'the last of us'!" amelie took a deep breath as bella appeared on the big screen.
"and the winner is... amelie dean morgan!" amelie's jaw went to the floor. she watched as the people around her applauded and cheered for her. she hugged millie, and went up to the stage. she was handed the award and she went to the microphone.
"uh, hi." she laughed nervously, "i would like to thank the academy, my mom, my dad, my friends. everyone who ever believed in me, and uhm, i don't really know what to say, but i love you all," bella and amelie locked eyes, amelie continued talking, but stared at bella, bella staring right back.
amelie snapped back into it, "thank you!!" she spoke, going to sit back down.

millie immediately hugged amelie, "my baby!! oh i love you so much!" her british accent making her words sweet. amelie had a bright smile on her face.
"thank you!! oh my gosh this is so surreal!"
"lee? can we talk?" bellas voice cut through. amelie turned to look at millie, "sure."
bella pulled amelie away. "listen, i know i fucked up, i really do. but can we please try again? i need you."
amelie stayed silent for a moment, processing bellas words. she took a deep breath in, nodding.
