It was a cold morning in Kyoto, Japan. You lied awake in the hotel bed as Sana shuddered under the covers. You kept tossing and turning trying to find a warm spot, unfortunately for you, there wasn't a spot anywhere.

Sana started to chatter her teeth. "Y/N~ can you close the curtain?" Her voice shaky.

You peered out from under the blanket, the zephyr from the room invading the slightly warm covers. You brushed it off as your eyes searched for the curtain, which had already been closed.

"It's already closed" You mumbled.

Sana let out a soft sigh as she scooted closer to you. The room felt chillier than ever, you had started to shiver.

"y/n, move closer. It's too cold." She plead.

"I'm as close as I can get babe, if i could move closer, I would." You responded.

You let out a harsh sigh as you started to think about ways to warm up you and your lover.

"Sana, let's get warm drinks, yeah?" You spoke with ebullience.

The aforementioned had started to stir as she started to yawn, her body movements less sloppy and more sharp. She wiped the sleep from her eyes as she let out a soft hum. You smiled at her lightly. You ruffled your hair before getting up from the hotel bed, heading into the bathroom to prepare yourself for the activity ahead of you.

As for Sana, she rose from her warm spot in the sheets and reluctantly followed you, ready to start the new day of adventure.

You and Sana walked together to a cozy shop located in Kyoto. The shop was owned by an elderly couple. Sana squeezed your hand in excitement as you inched closer and closer to the shop, Ujicha Kigetsudō. The shop wasn't too far away from where you two had been staying, which was convenient since you wanted to be in and out.

"Y/N, Y/N! look at the photos of the matcha!! doesn't it look delightful??" Sana said giddily.

you chuckled dryly at her excitement, "I see it hun, it does look delightful."

You reached the doors of the little shop, the bell ringing as you opened the door. The couple stood in their station and greeted the two of you.

"Welcome in, I can take your order." The lady asked as she walked over to the counter.

Just then the gentlemen came beside you two and handed a pamphlet of the menu items.

You and your girlfriend pondered for a moment as you stared at the options. "One Matcha tea" you said in unison.

The couple gave a brief laugh as they nodded in agreement to your order. As the inseparable pair left to make the tea. Sana looked at you with glossy eyes.

"Oh Y/N" she frowned, "You're so kind to buy us tea."

You sighed before responding "You want bread too?"

"What?? pfft.. nooo!!" She said nervously.

You shook your head as the couple returned with the teas on a board.

"Excuse me? Would it be possible to add a loaf of bread to the order? I apologize for the sudden plea." You said as respectful as you could.

"Of course sweetheart, I'll be back in a moment." The lady said before walking to the back again.

"She did the old puppy eyes trick, huh?" The gentlemen said.

You laughed a bit before answering him, "The sweet-talker trick."

"Ahh.." He said as he nodded his head. "That one gets me as well."

Sana's face was beet red as you continue speaking about tricks partners use to get stuff.

"You know, you two fit each other very well. very, very well." The man said suddenly.

You grinned widely at his kind words. "Y-You think so?"

He nodded, "I know so. I could tell right as soon as you two walked in, those young girls were made for each other." He acclaimed.

"You hear that Sana?" You asked her as you went to squeeze her hand. "He thinks we're good together!"

Sana giggled as her face flushed an even brighter shade of red.

"Oh! Look at that! Somebody's shy~" The gentlemen said.

Right as another word was about to be spoken the lady returned with the bread.

"I'm sorry it took long dear, I didn't have a certain someone helping me." She looked at her husband before turning back to you, "I hope you do forgive me." The kind lady said.

"No need to apologize, it's here now, isn't it?" You reassured.

She smiled lightly as she rang you up.

"Here you are dear." The lady handed the loaf to you and Sana. "Thank you Mrs." You said after paying.

"Visit us again soon!! I want to see you ladies mature and grow in your relationship!" The man winked at you.

"Oh we will!" You responded enthusiastically.

"Have a good evening you two. Bye now!" The couple said.

The bell rang as you walked out, the smell of matcha and pastries fading as you walked further away with your partner.

You stole glances at her as she took sips of her tea, her face relaxing more and more as her red nose and ears started to return into a normal color.

"How is it babe?" You questioned Sana.

"It's just how I imagined it y/n!" She smiled widely.

"I'm glad you like it." You spoke before kissing her temple.

"I'm glad you bought it for us." She said placidly.

You had a toothy grin plastered on your face. Suddenly a strong wind started to blow as you walked.

"Sana, we may want to hurry back to the hotel, the wind is no joke!" You said as you shuddered.

She giggled at your antics and linked her arm with yours. Suddenly, it didn't feel so cold anymore. Before, the crisp air enveloping the two of you felt unbearable. But now, it didn't matter. You had your partner next to you. The sunshine of your life. Her vibrant smile and sweet honey laughs.

How lucky you felt in that exact moment. And more moments to come in the future.
