Chapter 1

"Sophia, let's go. Dadaanan pa natin sila Oliver at Lucas. Ready na yung car." Kuya grabbed my bag habang nagsusuot ako ng shoes.

Today is our first day as senior high students. As we enter the room, puro bulungan yung mga classmates namin about the tranferees. Oliver and I sat down while waiting for the class to start.

"Patulog muna ah." pinatong ni Oliver ang ulo niya sa balikat ko. Pumikit nalang din ako. Nagising nalang ako when Oli tapped my hand.

Tumingin ako sa harap at may nakatayo na dalawang lalaki at tatlong babae. Nagpakilala muna sila bago umupo, but what caught my attention is the last guy. He looks fami-

"Isn't he the guy from Flinn's restobar?" Oliver said while playing with his ring. That's why he's familiar. I just nodded at him.

"I'm Justice Nuevo." his eyes met mine. He looks a bit shocked. Pinaupo na siya ni Sir Deo.

To be honest, he looks hygienic and well mannered but also a party goer.

"Justice here is from Springfield International School. And based on his records, he is always at the top of his class. Also, he ranked first in the whole school. I hope you and Ms. Tuazon will get along for the rest of your senior year." our classmates looked at me after Sir Deo mentioned me.

"Justice, if SIS had someone like you. Our university has Sophia Tuazon; she's also always at the top of her class and ranked first in the whole university." does he have to say that out loud?

After 3 classes, break time na. I told Oliver na susunod nalang ako sa cafeteria kasi Sir Deo is calling me sa faculty. One of the cons of being a top student? Lagi inuutusan ng teacher. Tutulog pa sana ako eh.

"Oh, Ms. Tuazon pasok ka dito." nag bow naman ako sa ibang teachers na nandon.

Wait, why is Justice here?

"Sophia, since your next teacher is not around, why don't you tour Justice around the campus? Yung ibang transferees ipapatour ko din sa iba." really? me?

"Sir Deo, ang swerte mo naman. Nasa section mo tong dalawa." Ms. Haboc said while she strokes my hair. Help my hair, please. Pet peeve ko talaga mga basta nahawak sa buhok ko.

"Justice, si Sophia na bahala sayo ha." Justice just nodded at Sir Deo.

Paglabas namin ay naghihintay yung friend niya sa kanya. At parang nagulat when he saw me.

"Hi! I'm August." he looks happy introducing his self.

"Sophia" I said as we shook hands.

"Let's meet here nalang at 12pm?" I asked Justice and he just nodded.

Pagdating ko sa cafeteria ay tinawag ako ng malakas nung dalawa kaya nagtinginan sakin lahat. Mga papansin talaga. Nakita ko din ang circle nila Justice kasama yung crush ni Lucas. One table apart samin.
