"You stain' with the kid?"

Destroyer's eyes blinked open as he yawned, he turned to see who was speaking. Coterie stood outside the door, and Arrator stood in the room.

"Yeah, I will," Arrtor replied. "You and Mully go tell the others we're all alive, and I'll wait for him to wake."

"Alright, see you two around then," it was Mully who spoke. From his position, Destroyer couldn't see the android but assumed he was behind Coterie and that the door was obscuring his blurry vision.

The door shut and Arrator walked to the desk. The chair skidded across the floor as he gently pulled it out so he could sit. Arrator cast a glance at Destroyer's way, and if he saw the kid's eyes open, he said nothing. Instead, Arrator grabbed his iPad off the desk and powered it on.

Destroyer turned so he was lying on his back, he closed his eyes, though he had no intention of returning to sleep.

Ant? Are you there? Destroyer hesitantly asked, his voice echoing throughout the mindspace.

Mmphf? Ant's response was quiet and muffled.

Do you think the others will... snap like Cipher? Or do you believe we have until a motive is dropped? He questioned, a frown forming on his face.

There was a pause.

Ant?

Yeah, I'm still here, He reassured. Just thinking. I would assume we have 'til a motive; they all seemed genuinely disgusted at what was done.

"Hmmm," Destroyer's reaction was verbal, prompting a shuffling noise to sound from the chair.

If the other had harbored any doubts Destroyer that was still asleep, they were gone now. However, Arrator did not address him. It was odd... Destroyer had expected him to speak up by now, or for the trio to have woken him.

I hope you're right, Destroyer finally responds. With a sigh, he opens his eyes. He squints as the lights temporarily blind him, rubbing them he responds: Now I have a day to survive.

Don't be a Blackened, Ant remarks. I will kill you before you even get a chance at Court if you do.

"I won't, Ant. I swear it," Destroyer muttered his promise as he sat up.

"Mornin'," Arrator acknowledged him. "You doin' well?"

"Considering the circumstance, I'm as well as I can possibly be," Destroyer answered. "Yourself?"

"I dare say a bit better than you," Arrator replied, turning the tablet off and placing it on the table. "Coterie and Mully have already gone and informed the group we're alive. Coterie just messaged me saying the locked room we had discovered was open for investigation and he, Mully, Scorpio, Blank, and Sparklez were down there exploring. The others went to dilly-dally elsewhere."

Destroyer nodded as he listened. "Not surprised it was not the throne room," He remarked with a dry chuckle. "That room's too grand. The Mastermind is definitely going to save it for later to only add to his showboating."

"Agreed."

"I guess knowing what's down there would be useful knowledge. I mean, everyone probably already believes I'm the detective's sidekick so—"

"Des, please. No one is expecting anything from you," Arraotr cut him off. "If you want to be the detective's sidekick, be him. You'll have to stick with the android though, pretty sure Scorpio and Blank are going to be inseparable."

Destroyer nods. "Unless, of course, one of them beats the other to the grave."

"Very much true."

Destroyer hummed as he contemplated what Arrator said. "I mean, I would prefer to know what's happening. I don't want to get killed because... Because I was caught off guard."
