"Dad!". Asher yells running through the crowd of fire nation civilians. the war ship of the western dragon had final made its way back home after 500 days of war at Ba sing say. The young white headed girl ran toward her father as he stepped off the war ship. She smiles crying leaping into his arms, even beaten from the long days at war He smiles. "Hello baby girl, how I've missed you" he said falling to his knees hugging the young girl.
"General iroh" the young girl yelled out exited to see the old war general as he past by the two. He gave her a sweet yet sorrow smile.
"Dad?. what's wrong with the general" she asks confused and worried.
"It's Ben a long battle baby. I'll have to tell you all about it later" he smiled cupping her cheek. He stood up holding her hand and followed in behind iroh into the palace.
Ash looked at back the soldiers many were injured, some were helping others off the ship as the rest were carrying the remaining supplies and keep sakes from the battle. She then looked at her father who had a look of regret and sorrow.
The new fire lord watch from a far. Ash took a glance at him and he look so un pleased at the soldiers walking by. she then notice the young prince and smiled and waved at him. He gave a fate smile and a under hand wave back.
"I see you've made friends with the fire prince" he father smiled.
"Zuko and his mother are so nice father" ash smiles. "She would give me candy and help tie my Komodo's and fix my hair for the festivals".
"Ah I most thank her for watching over my little girl then".
As the group walk by, many civilians cheered or look on in digest. Ash felt angry at the ones who gave her father dirty looks as the group continued on into the military base, one person through flour at the soldiers hitting Asher's father. Ash rep her hand away from him and started going through the arm moments of fire bending fast, she stomp her right foot forward and cupid both her hands in front of her mouth and blew fire at the civilians as they scattered. the building behind them fell to rumble.
"How dare you treat our soldiers so poorly after everything they've gave you!!" She screams crossing her arms out and up for another attack, slinging her arm across in front of her, a wave of fire was sent at the crowed who coward from her, her father bended the fire upward and grab her, shaking his head and pushing her along.
This action didn't go unnoticed by the higher ranks of the military that eyed the girl and her father.
(Later that evening).
"Commander Kaji, we need to talk" one of the admiral says apraching him.
"Of course admiral" Kaji says following him into the war room with the rest of the high ranking officers.
Kaji look around. "Is this about Asher's out burst today" he asks setting down.
"Yes the girl shows great promise, we would like to Enroll her in the Royal Fire Academy for training".
"She'll be the youngest one there this year but I believe she will be great assistant to the fire nation once properly trained".
"Yes and this is a way for your family to earn a higher status".
Kaji grins and nods in agreement.
Asher was outside playing with the other military children as they pasted a spire of fire around. She enlarge the spire and throw at the boy who couldn't bend it back as it blew up but they all started laughing.
However everyone stop laughing when 3 royal guards stood behind Asher who then turned around startled by them.
"Please come with us, young lady" one said holding out his hand. Ash take his hand and look back at the other children who only stared in shock. Asher father was by the gate and lead the way to the school.
"Asher you will be enrolled into the Royal Fire Academy. do not fail me daughter" kaji says smiling at her.
"Right father" she says cheerfully. "I want let you down"
