Rebelle POV:

"I'm so sorry sir, please don't fire me...I need the money. I had to stay a little longer at school. Please?" I begged to my boss. He just looked at me with disappointment in his eyes.

"I can't do this anymore with you Rebelle. You're almost always late to work. I can't fail my restaurant because of you. And I've already found the new waitress. You're fired." He spat.

"No-no please I'll come in time. I need the money...please." I said hoping he'd feel some kind of sadness and not fire me.

"I don't wanna hear anything any longer. You're fired. Leave my restaurant" He said and walked away. I let out a frustrated huff.

Why can't I just do something good in my life. I really need the money. How am I gonna pay the house and the bills?

I slowly left the restaurant. I have to find a job as soon as possible. I can't afford to get kicked out. The owner of my small apartment is not that nice.

My life is so difficult. Sometimes I wonder why I'm even in this life. To struggle? I don't even know how many times I've laughed or smiled. It's not that much.

I wish I just had a normal life. I wish I was just me, Rebelle.

I miss my parents so bad. Ever since they died, I had to live on my own. I've changed many jobs, but none of them made me happy.

I stared at the beautiful sky. If only I came earlier, I would've not been fired.

I just sighed and made my way home. As I was walking I noticed this very old lady trying to find something. I furrowed my eyebrows together.

She looked so worried. I walked to her and tapped in her shoulder. She turned around and I smiled at her.

"Hi miss. Do you need any help? You seem so worried" I say. She nodded her head.

"Hey dear. I lost my wallet and I can't find it." She said worried, and I started looking around. I couldn't just leave her like that.

"Can you tell me what color it is?" I asked. "It's black with some white lines. I had all my money and cards in it. Especially that one card" She said.

I looked around and suddenly I noticed something black with white lines behind a car. I walked over and picked the wallet up.

I then went to the old lady and her eyes lit up as she looked at the wallet. She let out a released sigh as I handed her the wallet.

She looked up at me and smiled sweetly. "Thank you so much dear. I really appreciate it. But, you seem worried too. Is there something wrong?" She suddenly asked.

I just shook my head. "No, I'm just looking for a job" I said nervously and she thought for a moment. She looked at me carefully and then opened her wallet, taking out a white card.

"Here. Take this. It's a job application. I used to work there when I was younger, they pay well and they even offer you a personal room at your work. You seem like a kind and sweet girl." She said smiled. I stared at her.

Why would she help me?

"T-thank you but...why would you do this?" I asked. She sighed. "Just take it dear. By the way my name is Claire." She said and I smiled nodding my head.
