.TWENTY-FOUR.

When we got back to the huts we all parted ways, we were only a few huts down from the Cameron's so it wasn't far.

They were acting off today. I want them to stop before my parents catch on because I know they already are.

I'm currently walking onto our hut, split off into other huts so I have my own privacy. I walk across the bridge and notice the small fishes swimming in the clear blue water. I haven't gone for a swim since the boat incident. Maybe I could squeeze one in before my shower.

I punch in the code lock to my door and walk inside. Letting the door shut by itself.

I undo my small wedge heels feeling relief when my ankles hit the floor but slowly blinking when I see the big bunches of roses all over my bed.

I stand there, not alone since I'm welcomed by the shock and freeze in my body. Like my blood stopped pumping.

"What the hell..." I mutter and climb over some loose ones on the floor. Reaching for the note on my bed stuffed in the biggest bouquet.

"A dozen roses for a dozen apologies I need to make." Is all it says and my mind goes to one person.

Is he serious?

~~~~
I shove him in the chest hard and he stumbles a little.
"The fuck is wrong with you?!" I ask my feet digging in the stand so I don't loose my balance from the impact.
"What are you talking about?" He acts clueless. Glasses covering his eyes. No eye contact. Beer in his hand.
"You're not funny. Stop." I cross my arms over my chest which sparks his attention.
Why are men like this?
"The roses. Rafe. What are you playing at?" He acts clueless yet again. But I'm not fooled by his tricks.
"I'm serious stop doing that stuff. I meant what I said in the boat okay? You and me not a thing." I poke his chest which hurt my nail more than him.
"Leilia it wasn't me I'm serious." He holds his hands up in defense.
"Then who was it??" I look up at hun confused but his body language senses he's telling the truth.
"I don't know. Maybe your lover chris. You know the one from the club" he emphasises which I slap his shoulder at.
"Stop."
"What? It could be him. Did you check? Was there a card or anything?" He shrugs it off. More interested than me.
"Just saying a dozen roses for a dozen apologies I need to make." I want the sand to swallow me hole.
"That's a little cliche. I wouldn't do that we both know that." He told his arms over his chest looking out to the water.
"Sure." I roll my eyes. I'm about to walk away but he stops me.
"Look if you can't figure out who it was or anything let me know okay? I need something to keep me sane this Bahamas holiday..." he trails off like he said too much. I push his arm off my wrist and nod muttering a few words under my breath before I walk away.
