Rowan is the oldest and the most blindly loyal to Rhiannon. She does what she's told, often without question, and is always trying to coax Aderyn home with promises of how things will be different and better. She knows that it's a lie. She does try to protect her siblings, however, often taking the blame and the punishment for their actions. A talented healer and warrior, Rowan may be the most dangerous of the Adar Rhiannon due to her inability to listen to reason. She will never question her orders.
Rowan often wears a veil or mask beneath the lower half of her face to hide a scar. It reached from the corner of her mouth to her neck and affects her speech and ability to eat and drink.

Kai is the second eldest and really the only one you might be able to say has broken truly free of Rhiannon's hold. He's a talented magician and the only reason he sticks around is because he plans to kill her. Plain and simple. He hasn't fully decided how yet, but he has some ideas. He operates strangely, seeming to alternate between servant and advisor. In fact, there are really only two things consistent about Kai, his magic and his smoking.
He may not act like it, but he's shockingly sympathetic. It's just that he forces himself to be practical first. The eventual freedom of himself and his sisters is far more important than anything else. One day, they will be royalty in their own right and recognized as children of a great king and good man. Little else can matter.
