Chapter 26 Uncertainty

Sapphire POV

"What happened to the crazy lady who threatened me, when I arrived?" I bit my bottom lip trying to remember her name.

Mark wraps his arms around me pulling me closer to him, while we walk around the pack grounds. I can feel him tench up and take a deep breath in while holding me tighter to his chest.

"Amy" he hisses out "is locked up in the dungeons where she belongs" I can hear the anger in his voice remembering what happened. "She will never hurt you or anyone. Zavier has stripped her of her link to the pack as well."

"Good"

We will officially announce the new Alpha, Beta, Beta female, and Gamma to the pack tomorrow. All of Zander's and Emerald's families have been invited, they don't think it can be anyone in the family who is the traitor.

It is risky to make the changeover, but it needs to be done as soon as possible. and it might be the only way to flush out the traitor. Luckily I can snuggle up to Mark at night, wrapped up in his arms, which makes me feel safe and secure.

Dad and I have been helping to train the warriors all week, it is great to get back into the swing of things again, I miss training, I haven't done any since Mum's passing.

We have taught them a few new tricks and helped strengthen the border patrols. We have also set up boogie traps around the border. Only those on patrol are allowed in the forest so that no one gets hurt.

The whole pack has been going through safety drills for when or if the rogues attack. We have got it down to under one minute where everyone who can't fight is in the safe house, guards stationed at the entrance.

We have set up extra beds in the gym, which is in the basement, and any spare rooms in the pack house are all set up so that no one needs to go outside to head home tomorrow night.

All the kids think it is great having a sleepover in the gym, I have never seen kids so eager to help before, anyone would think they are having a party themselves. They helped move the equipment, now we have as much space as possible and most of the teenagers even volunteered to help clean the gym, to eliminate the sweaty stinky smell.

The massive safe house is strategically placed under the pack house, and the hospital has been fully stocked with extra blood bags, bedding, food, and medical supplies.

All the warriors and guards know exactly where they must be if an attack happens. I just hope that we have done enough so that no pack member dies or gets badly injured. Since I have been here I feel protective of the pack members.

Something is coming and the whole pack can feel it, It is making people on edge and wondering who they can and can't trust.

This is a dark and dangerous time to have a celebration, with all the rogues camped out not too far away from the territory and growing larger daily by the numbers.

Excitement and nervousness are running through the pack. All the pack members are excited about the upcoming celebrations. There are triple guards around the pack territory with all the rogues around.
