I was working from home for a whole week since I had the flu and it was really annoying to work from home,I'd rather be in the office than in this house all alone. I heard Lucy come inside and she just walked straight to the kitchen without greeting me.
"Lucy" I called out and she walked towards me
"Yes,Mr Kim" Lucy answered with a straight face
"You didn't greet me this morning" I reminded her
"Oh my bad, Morning" Lucy sighed
"Morning" I smiled and she walked away,I stood up and followed her to the kitchen to find her making me breakfast.
"Do you want some chocolate in your coffee?" Lucy asked
"Sure" I sighed and she got some chocolate from the fridge.
"Is something wrong ,you don't seem your usual self" I shrugged and we were back to the silent treatment.
Lucy gave me my plate and my cup of coffee and she sat down and ate as she listened to some music. Lucy is never like this, she's always smiling and happy but today she was tense and cold.
"I won't be coming to work tomorrow,I have a day out with Patricia" Lucy sighed
"Alright, just tell me how to make the coffee and I'll do it by myself" I smiled
"Ok" Lucy smiled and she went back to eating
The rest of the morning was full of silence even after Lucy left, I decided to call Jonathan over to keep me company.
"Hmm so she gave you the silent treatment and then said she's not reporting for work tomorrow and she kept on giving you the silent treatment until she left" Jonathan laughed
"Yes,it's not funny Jonathan,I feel as if I did something wrong" I sighed
"Stop being a jerk to her ,be more loving" Jonathan laughed
"I don't think it's about that,I feel as if something is bothering her" I sighed
"Maybe she broke up with her boyfriend? Or maybe she had a fight with Patricia or maybe it's that time of the month" Jonathan suggested
"None of the above and she can't have a boyfriend,have you seen the way she dresses?" I laughed
"Her dressing is alright,your just used to girls in mini dresses and bum shorts" Jonathan chuckled
"Enough about Lucy ,so about your date with Patricia ,have you decided where your going to take her" I smiled
"I was thinking we go on a double date ,you and me with Patricia and Lucy ,good idea don't you think?" Jonathan cheesed
"No,I am not going on a double date with you guys and Lucy" I shrugged
"It will be fun, come on " Jonathan smiled
"I have Better things to do on Friday Evening" I laughed
"Like what?" Jonathan asked
"Like work and checking files from this week" I sighed
"That's boring Chris,you need some excitement in your life ,loosen up a bit,stop being stuck up your ass" Jonathan laughed
"Alright fine, but I'm only doing this because you're my best friend" I laughed
"There you go,how about we toast to this,some whiskey?" Jonathan cheesed
"I really needed a drink" I laughed and we walked to the mini bar next to the kitchen.
The rest of the day Jonathan and I talked about work and how his restaurant is having a culinary arts display of his most ordered meals that his.made . Once Jonathan left I decided to go up to my room to take a shower but before I did that I called Lucy.
"This is Lucy, please leave a message " her phone went to voicemail and I called again
"Hello?" Lucy yawned
"Sorry for waking you up from your nap" o apologized
"It's ok,what do you want?" Lucy sighed
"Please come over in 30 minutes,I'm sending my driver to come get you" I replied
"Ok" Lucy sighed and she cut the call,I do hope she tells me what's wrong.
I heard Lucy walk in and she was just in her pyjamas and a cardigan with a bonnet on her head,she went straight to the kitchen,I could hear her open up cupboards.
"I'm so tired you know,and here I am making Christian Kim coffee in my pyjamas,so embarrassing" Lucy ranted out
"I just want to sleep but I can't because my ex keeps popping up in my mind everytime,I just need a break from reality" Lucy continued ranting and she came to the living room with two cups of coffee and she gave me one.
"Thank you" I smiled and I took a sip of the coffee,it wasn't my usual vanilla bean espresso,it was a double cream chocolate chip latte
"How you liking my new creation? I call it the fiery chocolate latte" Lucy laughed
"It's really good,make it more often" I laughed
"So,what did you call me for anyways?" Lucy asked as she sat Criss crossed on my couch
"You seemed a bit different in the morning,so I called you here to ask you what's going on" I shrugged
"Nxaw ,my boss cares about me" Lucy laughed
"I'm just trying to make sure my employee is mentally fine,besides it's my responsibility to know the medical conditions my employees have" I sighed
"Alright,I'm fine as you can see,and I'm mentally ok,I'm just trying my best to stop thinking about my ex" Lucy shrugged as she finished off her coffee
"Alright as long as your fine mentally then you can continue doing your job well" I smiled
"Alright,I should get going I really need all the sleep I can get" Lucy smiled as she stood up and she took our cups to the kitchen and popped them in the dishwasher before leaving me all alone again.
What is this feeling that's going on through my body but I brushed it off and switched off all the lights in my house and I went up to my bedroom to finally get some shut eye.
