Meanwhile
Inside the Kim mansion, the atmosphere was heavy with tension as Namjoon paced anxiously, his grip tightening on Jin's phone. His wife, sensing his distress, approached him with a gentle touch.
"Yeobo, what's wrong? Who's calling you?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.
Namjoon swallowed hard, struggling to contain the turmoil raging within him.
"Jung---Jin is leaving for Australia today,"
he confessed, his voice strained with emotion. His wife's eyes widened in shock, her heart breaking at the news. "Why? Is everything alright?" she inquired, her worry evident.
Namjoon's resolve wavered as he fought to keep his composure. "It's... complicated," he admitted, his voice trembling.
But his wife refused to accept his vague explanation. "Why are you doing this to him? He's our son, Namjoon.loving is not a crime. He deserves to be happy," she pleaded, tears welling in her eyes.
Namjoon's heart ached at the sight of his wife's distress, her words echoing the doubts that plagued his own mind. "I know, honey . But I'm trying to protect him," he explained, his voice faltering.
His wife's embrace offered a brief respite from the storm of emotions swirling around them, her tears mingling with his own.
"He hasn't eaten, he's been crying all night. I'm scared, Namjoon. Please,"
she implored, her voice choked with emotion.Namjoon's resolve hardened as he reluctantly pulled away from his wife's embrace. "I understand your concern, honey. But Jin is still young, and this... it's just a teenage infatuation. It will pass," he insisted, though doubt gnawed at his heart.
His wife's tearful plea pierced through Namjoon's resolve, stirring a deep sense of conflict within him. "If this is truly just an infatuation , then let them decide. I won't let you take my son away from me," she declared, her voice trembling with conviction.
Namjoon released a heavy sigh, his shoulders sagging with the weight of his decision. "I've made up my mind. If Jungkook truly loves him, he'll wait. Let's see," he conceded, his voice tinged with resignation.
With a heavy heart, Namjoon made his way towards Jin's room, steeling himself for the difficult conversation that lay ahead.
As Namjoon entered Jin's room, he found his son sitting on the edge of his bed, his expression weighed down by sorrow. Namjoon's heart clenched at the sight, the gravity of the situation hitting him like a ton of bricks.
"Jin," Namjoon began, his voice gentle yet tinged with a sense of urgency. "We need to talk."
Jin glanced up, his eyes brimming with unshed tears as he met his father's gaze. "Appa," he whispered, his voice barely above a hoarse whisper.
Namjoon took a seat beside Jin, his heart heavy with the weight of the conversation that lay ahead. "Jin, I know this isn't easy for you," he started, his voice laced with empathy. "But I need you to understand why I'm doing this."
Jin's shoulders slumped with resignation as he listened to his father's words, a sense of defeat washing over him. "I know, Appa," he murmured, his voice choked with emotion. "But... I love him."
Namjoon reached out, placing a comforting hand on Jin's shoulder. "I know you do, Jin. And that's why this is so difficult," he admitted, his own heartache mirrored in his son's eyes.
Silence hung heavy in the air as father and son grappled with the magnitude of the situation. Namjoon struggled to find the right words, knowing that his decision would have far-reaching consequences for Jin's happiness.
"Jin, I need you to trust me," Namjoon said finally, his voice filled with quiet resolve. "I'm doing this because I love you, and I want what's best for you."
Tears welled in Jin's eyes as he nodded silently, a mixture of emotions swirling within him. Though he longed to fight for his love, he couldn't bear to disappoint his father or risk tearing his family apart.
"I understand, Appa," Jin whispered, his voice tinged with resignation.
Namjoon pulled Jin into a tight embrace, holding him close as they both grappled with the pain of their shared sacrifice.
Namjoon took a deep breath, steeling himself for what came next. "Jin," he began, his voice steady but tinged with sadness, "I need you to pack your bags. We're leaving for Australia."Jin's eyes widened in disbelief, his heart sinking at the realization of what his father was asking of him. "Australia?" he echoed, his voice barely a whisper.
Namjoon nodded solemnly, his expression pained. "Yes, Jin. It's for the best," he replied, his voice heavy with regret.
Tears welled in Jin's eyes as he struggled to comprehend the magnitude of his father's decision. "But why, Appa? Why Australia?" he pleaded, his voice trembling with emotion.
Namjoon reached out, gently brushing away Jin's tears with a tender touch. "I'm sorry, Jin. I can't explain it all right now, but trust me when I say it's what we need to do," he explained, his own heart aching with the weight of their circumstances.
Jin nodded silently, his heart heavy with resignation as he realized the futility of arguing with his father. With a heavy sigh, he rose from the bed, his movements slow and deliberate as he began to gather his belongings.
As Jin packed his bags, Namjoon watched with a heavy heart, knowing that their lives would never be the same again. .
Together, father and son prepared for the journey ahead, their hearts heavy with sorrow but determined to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
