Part 5 - Not A Villain

The next morning, Minata sat down on the bed of her bedroom, crying her heart out. While she did, she scrolled through her phone, looking at pictures of her and Saki together. "Knock knock." Her father suddenly walked through the room with a sympathetic smile.

In his hand he had a bag full of sweets and snacks, hoping to cheer his daughter up. He was dressed in his police attire, and he was the same officer that came to Saitos house earlier today. His name was Tenchiku.

"I brought you something, hoping to cheer you up some." He said with a smile as Minata slowly sat up from her bed and stared at her father, Tenchiku.

Her eyes were extremely red due to all of the crying, not only that but she had bags under them. "You want to cheer me up?" Minata turned on the lamp on her nightstand and continued looking at her dad. "Can you tell me who you think killed Sakis brother? If it wasn't for him, Saki would still be alive." Minata questioned with sadness as Tenchiku went over to sit down next to her.

Tenchiku let out a sigh, before placing his hand on Minatas back. "You know that's confidential. Besides what I think-"

"For me, dad.." Minata instantly responded as the two stared into eachothers eyes. "You collected blood samples right? Did you find out who else was there?" Minata questioned

Tenchiku couldn't continue looking into Minatas eyes, as he felt guilty for not giving her any straight answers. "I can't reveal that information to you..but I just want you to know that everything is gonna be okay. Trust me justice will be served." Tenchiku said before embracing Minata with a smile.

Minata hugged him back. As she did, her eyes wondered off to the keys that were in his back pocket. "Now I'm gonna leave this here. Let me know if you need anything." Tenchiku left the snacks and sweet treats on Minatas bed, as he stood up and began walking out of her room.

As he walked away, Minata rubbed her eyes and tears away, while looking at the keys that were in Tenchikus back pocket. "Hey dad!" She immediately called out before he could leave. She then stood up as he turned around to face her.

"Another hug?" Minata questioned with open arms.

Tenchiku smiled and nodded his head. "Ofcourse.." He rejoined her and the two hugged eachother. Minata side eyed her dad as the two hugged.

Later that night, Minata got dressed in all black clothing, along with black glasses and a hoodie to cover her head. She checked into her father's room to make sure that he was asleep, and sure enough, he was.

As she stared at him, laying in his bed, she looked down at her hand to see the keys that she grabbed from his pocket. "If I want to be a hero, this is something I have to do.." Minata said to herself, before closing her father's door, and walking outside.

Later on she arrived at the police station. While she snuck up towards it, she saw two police officers standing at the entrance. "Alright..it's time.." She said to herself, before standing up completely, and walking towards the two police officers directly.

"Can we help you?" The police officers questioned.

Minata didn't respond, all she did was touch both of the police officers, making them instantly fall down to the ground. "What the-what the hell?" One of the officers questioned. "Why does my body feel like it weighs a ton?" The other one questioned, as Minata used her dads key to walk through the police station.

From that point on, she continued to sneak through the station, making sure she wasn't spotted by anyone. Eventually, she found herself in an office. In the office there was a desk, and shelves with multiple folders and papers. She didn't know where to begin.

As Minata continued to look, she realized the shelves were organized by letters. Once she understood that, she went over to the shelf that had an "S" over it. She grabbed the folders from that shelf and skimmed through it.

As Minata continued looking, her time began to run out. One of the officers ended up hearing the calls of the two officers at the entrance. Once the two were approached, they told the other officer everything that happened. "I think it was a girl. She just touched us and we fell to the ground." The officers explained as they were finally able to get back up.

"Sound the alarm, we have an intruder!" The officer yelled out as they ran back into the police station. Each officer readied their weapons as an alarm started to go off.

As Minata heard the alarm, and heavy footsteps of officers running through the station to find her, she began to panic as she looked through the folder. "Hey! Here she is!" An officer peaked through the glass of the door of the room that Minata was in.

The officer tried to break down the door as much as he could. Realizing that she didn't have anymore time, Minata took the folder as she opened up the window from the office and jumped out of it.

The officer then managed to knock down the door. Him, along with other officers ran up to the window that Minata just jumped out of, though she quickly touched the window, causing it to close. As the officers tried opening the window back up, they completely failed. "Why is it so heavy?" One of the officers grunted.

By that time, Minata had sprinted as fast as she could. Her heart was pumping with adrenaline as she made her way back home.

Meanwhile, Saito sat down on his bed, thinking about what Toga told him last night. The more he roamed his room and thought about it, he eventually came to a conclusion.

He agreed at meeting Toga again at the alleway at night so that's what he did. The entire time he walked towards that alley, he thought about what Toga told him. How she'll be expecting an answer. After making it to the alley, he saw Toga leaning up against the wall while looking up at the sky. "I'm here.." Saito stated as he approached her.

Toga stopped looking at the sky, and looked at Saito instead. "Aww and I was so close to coming to your house. We could've had all types of fun in your room." She whined as she watched him, though he just stared at her with a cold stare.

Noticing Saitos cold stare, Toga chuckled very slightly and got off of the wall that she was leaning on to face him directly. "You gotta answer?" She questioned.

Saito nodded his head. "I'll join you." He answered calmly, shocking Toga instantly.

"Wait, really?" Toga questioned in disbelief as she watched him.

Saito frowned as he watched her. "But don't be misunderstood. I'm joining you for one reason and one reason alone, and that's to kill you." He confirmed, making Toga even more shocked. "To achieve that, it doesn't matter how much blood I have to spill for you, or what path I have to go down. You took my bestfriend, you took my sanity for years. I'm bringing you down." He said with the upmost passion, causing Toga to lift up with bright eyes and a wide smile.

"I look forward to it~" Toga responded.
