When the next morning arrived, Minata sat on her bed in a still position. She looked as if she had stayed in that sitting position the entire night.
Next to her was the folders that she took from the police station.
As she stared straight at the wall, her breathing began to speed up. She felt her throat start to restrict and her heart pound faster against her chest as well. *ring* *ring* *ring*. Her phone that laid beside her had started to ring, snapping her free from her thoughts for the moment.
She picked up the phone and answered it. "Hey Celsura." She greeted. She then stood up and walked around her room. Celsura and the others from their friend group were all gathered around Celsura, as she was on the phone with Minata. They all had worried expressions.
"Yes, I'm fine don't worry about me. It's just..." As she paused in her sentence, she stopped walking and turned to look at the folder that was on her bed. "Nevermind. I'll call you back." Minata said before hanging up the Phone, just before Celsura could stop her.
Minata then walked up to her bed and grabbed the folders. Her dad then barged in the room with a disappointed expression. Minata quickly dropped the folder and turned around To face her dad.
"Is there something you want to tell me?" Tenchiku questioned her as he stared her straight in the eyes.
Minata couldn't put her feelings into words. All that she knew was that she was angry and sad. "How could you not tell me?! You knew Saito was my friend." Minata lashed out in anger and sadness as she yelled at her father Tenchiku.
"It was confidential, and you had ZERO business sneaking into the station and taking it." Tenchiku scolded with anger in his voice as well.
"I-" Minata was about to say.
"No. What you did was a serious crime, and the only reason you're not in handcuffs is because you're my daughter and we're all aware that you're going through a tough time." Tenchiku explained, however all it did was make Minata even more mad. Her tears started to fall from her eyes as her fists clenched as well. Her legs and body started to tremble with the anger that she was feeling.
"Fuck this!! Fuck you!" Minata screamed angrily as she stomped past Tenchiku. Just before she could leave the house, Tenchiu grabbed her wrist and stopped her.
"Stop right now! You don't get to talk to me that way, I am your father." Tenchiku explained.
Minata tried to break free from Tenchikus grip. She let out a painful grunt in the process that was filled with anger and sadness. As Tenchiku watched her, he couldn't help but hurt too.
Tenchiku pulled Minata into a hug, as she continued to cry. Her attempts at breaking away from him has stopped as she simply cried into his chest. "It's okay.." Tenchiku comforted.
As he continued hugging her, a face of pure rage spread across his face.
For the rest of the day, Minata stayed inside of her room. She only went out to use the restroom, and it stayed that way all the way up to nighttime. *knock* *knock*, someone was knocking on the window of her room. When she turned to look at who it was, her eyes widened.
Saito stood outside of her window completely unrecognizable with a mask and hoodie that he wore. Minata quickly jumped out of bed, and stood in fear as she didn't know who the man was. She was beginning to call the cops before Saito spoke. "Listen, theres something I want to tell you-"
"Saito?" Minata questioned before running to the window and jumping out. She stared at him with pain in her eyes. "Why'd you do it?" She questioned.
Saito stared at her with confusion. "I wanted to get revenge.." He responded, making Minata even angrier. She immediately rushed to him and touched him with her quirk activated, causing him to fall down to the ground.
Saito grunted as he fell down. With confusion in his face, he tried to lift up his head, but it felt like he had tons weighing him down. "With my quirk, I can adjust the weight of anything...you're defenseless right now.." Minata said as she stood over him with tears in her eyes.
"What? Why? I thought you'd understand!" Saito struggled to scream those words out.
Minatas tears starts to develop as she stared at Saito. "What? Why would I understand that? You killed him for what reason?" Minato questioned, and that question immediately enlightened Saito and made him understand that this was all a misunderstanding."No I didn't kill him..I know who did, and I'm trying to stop her." Saito confessed, but at this point, Minata didn't know what to believe. Evidence from the folder said that there was Saitos blood at the scene and a fight, but Saitos says someone else did it.
"Who?" Minata questioned.
From the distance, a man sat inside of a tree while watching Saito and Minata. That same man was covered in burn scars from, and had a toothy grin as he watched the two. "Knew we couldn't trust you.."
