Armin x [self conscious] reader

Not an AU!!

      It had been 5 days after the 57th expedition. The one thing is, you were one of the casualties, so you were in the hospital, not out training. Your parents were all the way back in your hometown, a town inside Wall Sina, when they heard the news. They were too far away to visit you, but your friends from the 104th comforted you and were there. You were always self conscious about your appearance, but your scars made it worse. On top of that, your crush, Armin Arlert, was there and saw them. You were nervous every time he came to visit. So, you did the only thing that made sense to do, hide them.

    "Hey Y/N!" Armin said, walking into your hospital room. "H-hey Armin.." You said pulling up the blanket to cover the scars. "Y/N, why are you hiding from me..?" Armin asks. "Are you self conscious of.. your scars?" "Y-yea.." You answer. "Why? Your still as beautiful as ever.." He whispers to himself, but you heard him mumble something. "What did you say?" You ask lightly. "I said Why, your still as beautiful as you were when I first saw you." He said, sounding proud, but still his shy self. "Y/N, I like you. No matter if you have scars or not. I will always like you. Next time though, I won't let this happen and I'll protect you." He said. Your eyes widen a little. To put it simpler, you were in shock he actually likes you. He carsess your cheek. "So, are the feelings mutual?" He asks. "I-I.. love you Armin.." He pulls you into a hug. "Now rest, you still need to heal up. I'll visit tomorrow, Ok?" He tells you, softly. "Ok." He kisses your nose, softly. He then leaves the room. You're estatic, now being able to live your fantasy.

     ~time skip~

  The next day, Armin came in right when visiting hours started. He was hiding something and you knew it would be bad. He also brought you flowers though! "Hey Y/N, I need to tell you something.. And don't worry! It's not about our relationship." Armin says. "What is it then?" You ask as he puts the flowers down and crawls into the bed with you, wrapping an arm around your waist, carefully. "We suspect Annie to be the female titan and are expected to go to wall Sina and take her down, but you won't be coming." He answers. "But, how will I know you'll be safe?" You ask worridly. "You'll just have to trust me and our friends." he says. "Alright, but please be safe." You say. "I always will be." He kisses your forehead.

-big time skip-
   4 years later

    You were in your room, organizing a shelf when you felt a pair of arms snake around your waist. "Love, is that you?" You ask. Armin puts his head in the crook of your neck. "Yours truly. ~"He started to kiss your neck, only light pecks though. You felt you face heat up." A-armin..not now.. It's almost dinner. Someone's bound to come in to let me know." You felt him deepen his kisses on your neck. He looks up and pulls away." I told Mikasa I was going to get you, so she said she was gonna tell the others we'll be there
soon." He then turned you around to face him and pressed a kiss to your lips. You felt yourself melt into the kiss. He started playing with the hem of your shirt.  (don't worry it's not really spicy at all) You deepened the kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling his body against yours. He started to take off your shirt, but you pulled away and stopped him. "I-I'm sorry, i should have asked consent first." He said, started to feel nervous. "N-no it's not that at all.." "Then what is it?" He cupped your cheek, lightly rubbing his thumb across, back and forth. "I-I just don't want you to see my scars still." You started tangling your fingers together, nervous of the outcome. "Oh.." He placed your forehead against his. "Listen to me, I love you, no matter how many scars you have. Your scars are beautiful. They show how strong you are for pushing through the pain. I will always love you for you." He gently kissed your forehead and kissed every scar on your body, new and old. He stood back up and caressed your cheek again. "I will forever continue to love you, Y/N." You pulled him into a sweet, loving kiss. "You wanna go to dinner now and finish that tonight?" He winked at you. "Yes please." You both shared one last kiss before starting to walk to get dinner.
