Chapter 15

Futur

This chapter takes place in the alternative future of the end of season 1.

Takemichi wakes up on a soft sofa in an unfamiliar house.

Takemichi: Where am I?

??:Uncle Takemichi

Takemichi: Since when have I been an uncle?

?? : Serena Go sit down in front of your book, you understand?

Takemichi turned around and saw a beautiful woman with long brown hair, sublimely beautiful green eyes and a rose tattoo running from her hand to her wrist, dressed in a tight black dress.

Takemichi*thinks*: Leila?

Leila: What's the matter, Takemichou?

Takemichi: Oh nothing, you're sublime.

Leila: Oh thank you so much, it's Mitsuya who made it for me since we've been married I'm entitled to real works of art.

Takemichi: You and Mitsuya are married!

Leila: Oh, I wasn't at the wedding, but yes, Mitsuya and I are married.

Takemichi is shocked, when he was in the past he had been informed about Leila and Mikey's relationship but didn't expect that Mitsuya and Leila had married and ended up having children and they looked at the photos of their families.

Leila got up and asked to accompany her on a walk to get Serena to fall asleep in her stroller.

During this rather silent stroll, Takemichi and Leila reminisce about their teenage years. 

Takemichi: You were a couple with Mikey, weren't you? What happened?

The brunette sighed sadly and recounted what had happened.

Leila: Mikey and I were so happy and in love that we isolated ourselves from the others. It was wonderful and I'll never forget the memories we had together, it was so beautiful that he gave me a child, my first daughter Mirai, you must have seen her in the photos, and then overnight Mikey disappeared, he was nowhere to be found, Tetta Kisaki took over the reins of the Toman and that's when the Toman went from bad to worse. Trafficking, drugs, settling accounts, murder - it was horrible, especially for me, as I was the only daughter in the Toman, and having a child to look after was really complicated. Then Mitsuya decided to help me by marrying me, Mirai took his name and we now live as a fake even though we're just friends.

Takemichi was still shocked by Leila's story and the fact that she was putting up with all this on her own, and you could tell she was very sad about the situation, having two children to support and living in crime and insecurity and living in a marriage she didn't like was horrible.

Takemichi: Wait a minute, if Mirai is Mikey's child, whose child is Serena?

Leila: Let's just say that Mitsuya and I had a drunken evening and when there aren't any condoms around, we end up with children we don't want but love anyway.

Takemichi: Ah, it's a funny situation, especially when you're the one going through it.

Leila: You know, Takemichi, life is full of surprises, some of them pleasant, some of them not, but no matter how much suffering a person goes through, it will always end, one day or another.

Leila's words pierce Takemichi's heart, charging him with courage so that he can't give up on his goal of saving Hinata.

A car pulls up in front of the two friends

Leila: I suppose they're your friends?

Takemichi: Oh really, I hope we'll meet again.

Leila: Until next time Takemichou *stretches fist towards him*

Takemichi: See you next time Leila *joins his fist with Leila's*.

The two friends go their separate ways, both with their own objectives and goals.
