Tyler was tired of thinking about the paint incident. It had been running through his mind over and over again since it happened. He had tried everything to stop thinking about it. He went to Taco Bell, he called Dan, and he watched an episode of RuPauls Drag Race. Nothing worked. He couldn't find something that distracted him.

He had decided that his brain had it out for him. It was making him live the single most embarrassing moment of his life over and over. He was tired of thinking about Troye's rejection. He was tired of thinking about the look of nervousness on Troye's face before he ran out the door. He was tired of remembering how ridiculously long it took him to get up off the floor and go home. He was tired.

He ingested way too much coffee for his own good. He didn't want to fall asleep. When he went to sleep after the paint incident, it was bad. The last thing he wanted was to have to dream about everything that scared him. He hated nightmares more than anything in the world. Unfortunately, he seemed to have them a lot after something happened that made him anxious or scared. Hence why he had one after the paint thing.

His avoidance of nightmares was the reason he was sitting on his couch having yet another coffee attempting to stay awake. He was pretty sure it was the afternoon, but there was no way to tell. His glasses were on the dining room table, and he didn't want to get up. That would require him to move and he wasn't sure he had enough energy for that.

His phone rang, and he groaned. He knew for a fact it was going to be Dan on the other line. His phone had been blowing up with texts from him for the past hour. He hadn't read any of them. He pressed the green button and held the phone up to his ear.

"TYLER WHY AREN'T YOU ANSWERING MY TEXTS!" Dan growled . Dan's loud voice should have startled Tyler out of his half asleep daze, but Tyler was used to Dan's frustrated voice. He didn't even blink.

Tyler let out a yawn before answering, "Sorry Dan."

"Were you asleep?" Dan asked.

"No." Tyler admitted.

"Then why are you yawning like it's two in the morning?"

"I haven't slept in a while." Tyler stated.

"That's not healthy." Dan didn't sound like he was lecturing Tyler. It seemed like he was merely making an observation. Tyler knew that Dan often neglected sleeping simply because he couldn't. Dan was a bit of an insomniac. He started being able to sleep better ever since Phil moved into his apartment.

"You're not healthy." Tyler responded.

"Good comeback." Dan said.

"I just want to know if you're okay Tyler. I know it must be rough after what happened with Troye." Tyler flinched. He had filled in Dan about what happened right after. Tyler called Dan about it before he even went home for the night.

"I'm fine. I'll be fine. I just need the weekend to try and get better." Tyler said.

"Do you want to come over? You know Phil and I have a guest bedroom that's always open."

"I don't know, probably not. I think I need to be alone for a little while."

"Dan, what did you do to my drink?" Tyler heard an outraged Phil ask.

"Um... nothing." Dan said. Tyler laughed quietly. Dan trying to lie to Phil was the funniest thing in the world. His voice went up an octave and it always sounded like he was asking a question when he spoke.
