Yoongi cleared his throat and that brought the love birds out of the trance.
"I am still here," he blinked his eyes and waited for the two to separate. Internally, he thanked all the gods that Jay wasn't present.
Slowly they both stood up holding each other's hands.
"Erm - I would appreciate it if you two don't tell this to Jay this soon. She's gonna freak out pretty badly. In her head, Tae is still the baby she brought home in diapers, and when she finds out that - you two are together - she's only gonna see her baby involved with a 36-year-old man. So - let's just give her time. Let me warm her up and then maybe we reveal it."
Jungkook agreed and Tae was lost in thought. He knew the drama that would unveil when his mother finds out about their affair.
"Appa," Tae whispered holding Jungkook's arm, "Thank you so much for understanding."
Yoongi just smiled. He knew the battles lovers have to fight. He had fought one along with Jay and he was never gonna be a villain in his son's love life.
They heard the thunderstorms outside and Yoongi told the couple to change their wet clothes.
"Appa," Tae pouted and played with Jungkook's shirt, "Can - can hyung sleep here for tonight? Please!"
Jungkook didn't expect that. But he too wished internally to spend more time with his love.
Yoongi nodded his head, "Sure - the guest room is always empty. Kook does not have to ask."
Tae sighed and faked a smile, "No - appa - not the guest room. Can he sleep in my room?"
Yoongi's mouth was open as he gawked at Jungkook and then Tae.
"Um - we will keep the door open," Tae added instantly and saw Jungkook blushing hard.
Sighing, Yoongi saw Jungkook looking at him with puppy eyes. God! His son was a devil. What was he doing to the grown-up man? He had never seen Jungkook like that.
"Okay - but no funny business. Now - Kook - you go into our room and change. Take my clothes. And you - Tae - you go to your room and change."
When Jungkook changed into Yoongi's pajamas he headed to Tae's room with Yoongi's permission.
He saw Tae waiting for him by the door with a huge smile on his face. With his eyes moist, Jungkook hugged Tae and began crying again.
"Hey - what's wrong now? hyung?" Tae was scared.
Jungkook was crying like a baby. Again.
"I am so sorry Tae," Jungkook held Tae's face in his hands, "I should have told you all this sooner. I am so so sorry. I was scared of losing you like I lost him. You know he - he died in front of my eyes. That fucked me up so bad."
